    I would say you need to look at how much research is being done and how long the articles are. You can not pay someone the same amount if tye are not going to do the time to make it worthwhile.

    As I am a writer myself, I normally don't hire a writer, However, I do hire writers when I want contents on the topics that are not under my niche (fashion articles for instance). I also hire writers when I don't have time to write contents myself. I pay for each article. My standard rate is $5 for 500 word unique article. It the writer cheats me (sends me duplicate article or article that he did not write) I forfeit the payment. I pay through paypal and I file a dispute if I am cheated,

    I was a co-blogger before which means I regularly submit blogs to a friend for publishing in his blog. I was not a ghost writer because my name is retained as the author. I was not expecting payment that’s why I was surprised to receive a token. But the amount was way below that $5 you are paying for the 500 words of article. I think that $5 is good money and I can submit 1 blog each day with that kind of remuneration.
