    How do I stop my document from automatically numbering a new paragraph?

    I want to include a numbered list in my Open Office Document and need to include information in between each number. Now whenever I hit the enter key it tries to start a new number, rather than allowing me to include a paragraph of information to expand on the topic.

    How can I keep my document from automatically numbering a new paragraph?

    I'm sure that must be very annoying. This is one of the reasons I don't really like using Open Office as it ends up doing things I don't really want.

    if this issue is related to MS word,.it is very simple, just click on the numbering tab again before you press the enter key. i hope this works out.
