What's your biggest motivation for freelancer?

So far, no really huge motivation when working as a freelancer. Though I wish I were more organized. I like to find a system for my work. It helps me to stay on track. What are some of your common motivation when working as a freelancer?

I have been a freelance writer for over ten years since my daughter was born. She is my motivation to be a freelancer and keeps me going when I'm tired. I am very happy to work hard knowing that all the money I earn from my freelance work goes into buying food which goes on the dinner table for her.

the money is a huge motivation for me. I need the extra money right now as my husband just had 2 surgeries and we need the cash to pay off medical bills.

As a freelancer I can earn more money than as a employed.

The biggest motivation for being a freelancer is "making money without any limitation." If you have a regular job, you will have a fixed salary. You cannot earn more than what your boss pays. You can earn without limitation if you do a business, however, you need money to build business. Thus freelancing is the only income source that earns you without any limitation.

The main reason for my freelancing is to improve my written English. Instead of attending a course for English writing, I decided to join forums instead. And I was right because in the 3 years of my freelancing, my written English is markedly improved. When the time comes that I feel so down and lazy to work, I will think of the benefits that I get from my freelancing that includes meeting writer friends and forum owners plus the money that I earn.
