    Making notes to remind yourself

    It helps me to make notes of what needs to be done for the day, either in a day planner or simply writing down a few ideas on a piece of paper on my desk. These notes help me keep track of important jobs that need to be worked on. Do you make notes for yourself daily or how do you keep track of all the freelance jobs you are required to work on?

    I have sticky notes all over the place that I use so I will not forget important deadlines. My desk is cluttered with them.

    My computer has the sticky notes on it, so I make use of them all the time. I post deadlines there so I never forget.

    I have a spiral bound dayplanner where I write down my work schedule and what needs to be done on a daily basis as well as notes on appointments and meetings I will be attending.

    Make a list and check off what you've done. That's the best way to get work done daily. If you rely on a calender, then make sure you update it often so that you can see how far along you are on your job list.

    To do notes are so helpful for any freelancer, not just writers. You also need a list that specifies appointments such as who to call, email, private message or what work to turn in, not just what needs to be worked on.

    Making notes is something that does help me as well. I have many papers on my desk all with notes written about different things.

    I have a notebook I write things down in. This way I am able to keep track of all my stuff.


    I like this notebook idea, as my notes would never get lost. Is that a small pocket notebook or something like a composition book? I will put this on my shopping list to buy. Thank you for the suggestion.

    I always have a to do list aside from the miscellaneous items. When an idea comes to my mind, like a topic for an article or a forum thread, I write it down because I would forget about it after 5 minutes. With regards to my to do list, there is a corresponding time schedule so all the work needed to be done can possibly be done. Especially when there are so many tasks in one day, there should be an appointed time for each task.

    I always write short notes on my phone's notepad. It always helps me know what needs to be done when and before which date. Once the task is completed, I always delete what I wrote to keep my work neat and up to date. It also helps very much especially when I forget things, my notepad and email notifications will remind me.

    Certainly, I have my notepad that I jot down my schedule for the day even with the time that each work needs to be carried out.If one does these consistently, a lot of grounds would be covered because one would strictly do important things, not impulsive tasks that might not add much to the day's success.
