When my daughter was born, I knew that I wanted to be a work at home mom as it would allow me the time I needed to spend with her during the day and tend to her needs and yet bring in the extra income I wanted. This has worked out perfectly for nine years and she has grown up knowing that mom has a job, but is at home and never so far away. I'm there when she needs help with homework or wants to play a game or just hang out. I have contemplated getting a 'real job' but this is fun too and provides enough for our financial needs now. I'm hoping to expand with more Hubpages and writing and residual affiliate sales so we can have a nice vacation soon. Who or what inspires you to work from home?

Just for something to do at first. I got laid off from my regular job, and so had some free time. I knew that I was getting called back to work in a few months, so I figured it was a good time to start learning. I have gone back to my full time job. But someday I do hope that it works out for me. I think that I will be inspired by spending more time with my family:)

Working on your own time frame. I love being able to work the hours that I want to. Late at night or early in the morning. Whenever I want or feel the need to.

I started working online to get some funds to buy figures for my collection. My parents can't buy me these figures since they are not really that cheap so I looked for ways on how I can make money on my own. Started out on PTC and PTP sites, and ended up working on various new forums to gain content.
I ended up starting my own blog along the way.

That's a good reason to want to earn money. I started in a similar way, mostly with email sites though. I won't mention names. But I actually cashed out a couple times at the more reputable sites and moved on to a site that paid for forum posts and later become a paid music reviewer.
