$0.35 business handling fee?????

Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ

$0.35 business handling fee?????

What is this $0.35 business handling fee we have to pay now??

What is the reason for this???

Thing that are priced at $1 should be $1. Not $1.35...

What next?? Add another $0.15 on to it so we have to pay an extra 50c each time.

What is this business fee? There is no need for it.

Well first stop replying/spamming your thread again and again.
Second is your line "Sort it out ya greedy mugs!" I think seoclerks should take payment transfer fees from users here. Do you know how many people work in ionicware company and their salary? Server and maintenance charges? Seoclerks also cover all fees from paypal. They also need some savings for their family.

There is also a line (buy extras or order in more quantity to avoid this.)
So I think this is just a little charge.

And you still call them "Greedy mugs!" ?

So let us now what type of things you want in seoclerks

Actually, a few weeks ago they announced that they wanted to charge a 45% fee to the SELLERS for these little $1 services (anything $4 and under) and it went over poorly, so they scrapped the idea. It looks like this fee is basically the same thing, but putting it on the buyers instead.

I don't blame them for doing it, as they were already paying the fees themselves, so the $1 ones, after the Paypal base fee and percentage was taken, ended up costing them more in fees than the 20% they were getting, so they were losing money over time.

It's the cost of doing business, thus called a "business handling fee". Lots of places charge an extra fee for surcharge and taxes, so it's normal, and if you can't afford 35 cents, then you're doing something wrong online in your money making efforts.

Just my 35 cents $0.35 business handling fee?????

I'm just happy the sellers are not being levied with a 45% fee for the $1.00 services. Sellers are already giving up a percentage of each sale. And, considering the exposure we have to potential buyers, that's fine with me and I have no complaints. I'm just not looking forward to any more pay cuts. But, like you said, someone has to pay.

Thanks for chiming in Asmo. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong in my online money making efforts because virtually everything I touch turns to gold. All my sites have been successful. I sold 2 crappy .info's for £50,000 about 3 years ago. So it's not that I can't afford it, but it just seems like a decision they have made that has not been very well thought through.

I hear what you are saying about PayPal fees but in online payments all payments are a profit. PayPal would only charge a certain percentage and this would be reduced for a business that has a lot of transactions anyway. I'm sorry but I can't accept that they would be taking a loss overtime. If anything, they would be making a profit overtime (despite the fees). And PayPal is not the only processor that SEOClerks uses anyway. And they all charge their own fees. So why is the fee exactly the same whether you pay by PayPal or debit/credit card? It doesn't make sense.

If there was an official announcement about it along with instructions on how to avoid these surcharges then it would make it easier to swallow but having it forced upon you by surprise is quite a mouthful to swallow.

Seems the only way around it is to transfer funds into your account using https://www.seoclerks.com/Other/26...-Account-Balance but like I said, no announcement, nothing. Where's the respect for our loyalty you know?

So, you're trying to tell us you're very successful online, and yet you buy dollar services and complain about 35 cents? Really? Seriously??? You don't see anything odd about that?

And, yes, the fee makes complete sense. Look at the last Paypal payment you received from ANYWHERE with you as the seller (just like SC is the Paypal seller account here). Paypal takes a flat base fee PLUS percentage, whereas SEOclerks gets only 20%, which equals a mere 20 cents on a $1 service. That is NOT enough to cover the fees, so, yes, they lose on those transactions, PLUS they pay the fees when sellers transfer money, so that's a FURTHER loss.

As far as other processors, they ALL charge different fees, including STP, which is actually even higher than Paypal, so do the math...

The only point I actually agree with you on is the announcement part, as they should let everyone know, and that was the biggest thorn in the last discussion on the 45% fee. They need to start emailing ALL their members about any fee changes, as communication is key behind any good marketplace between buyers, sellers, and the company overseeing everything.

Hi idealinfos,

I'm sorry this change has upset you so badly. The $0.35 cent business fee is very nominal and there is a simple solution.
  1. Buy via balance, there is no $0.35 fee on balance purchases. You can deposit funds into your account which will allow you to purchase for a flat $1 (and be much faster too).
  2. Increase the price above $1 by adding more quantity or extras.

The $0.35 fee is to offset the amount of money we lose on $1 transactions. We lose money for every $1 transaction made that isn't via balance because of inbound processing fees, outbound processing fees and affiliate commissions. Adding a $0.35 business fee offsets this fee and is only applicable on $1 orders.

It may not be evident to all but we lose in the tens of thousands of dollars to $1 orders every year.
