    I'm noob, need help understand this - regarding google ranking

    Hello,

    If I have a website, and I entered "dentist Dillingham" (Dillingham is a town in Alaska)

    and I noticed that my website is on the first page, but is not on rank #1

    My question is: Which is better? To buy service that increase traffic? Or to buy service that said to put you up on rank #1 by doing backlinks (what ever the heck that is)

    P.S. I'm not trying to buy any service, so please don't inbox me. This is purely educational.

    You have to do competition analysis.

    If there is authority sites on the top, you can not beat them, its pretty simple.

    If there is no authority site, then check those top ranking sites link profile.

    Collect those links using ahrefs or moz and build backlinks on them.

    Ranking depends on 100's of factors ... like keywords competition, on page optimization, website content etc .

    1 .You need quality and unique content
    2. You need proper on page optimization
    3. You need backlinks and social media promotion

    Only link building is not responsible to rank better, you have to keep that in mind .

    Both of the are very okay. its just that the back-links kind is a long term case which will bring in traffic to your website after been indexed and ranked high by Google but it depends on the page rank and type of back-links. if you want quick result, i suggest you go for the traffic service but make sure you are buying real human traffic. As per the other one, to rank high by Google, the back-links must be of good quality and from high PR websites.

    When you say buy traffic, it can be in many ways. There are sellers of traffic that in effect are just robots so that is not a good choice. This is my take on the ranking. When your website lands on page 1 of the search list is to strengthen the SEO compliance of that particular web page. Check the contents and revise or add if necessary. Also, add keywords that are directly related to the topic on that page
