    Those are really basic questions. Especially the ones about Adsense, but then again, some people really are beginners online and need to know these things. Not everyone knows that it's against the Adsense TOS to click on your own ads.

    Friends and people at work always ask me this when they notice I'm not spending my online time on facebook or paparazzi websites. Over the years I got tired of explaining the big picture to people only to get that smirk face like "you don't say..." - like I was lying about it.

    Not everyone knows that it's against the Adsense TOS to click on your own ads.


    I worked with an SEO client once and this issue came up. It went something like this. I reminded him not to click on his own ads as that is a violation of Adsense TOS and he was like, '... um... really!?' Apparently, he had been clicking on occasion.
