    A blogroll is a listing of other blogs that you either subscribe to or that you recommend. People often post a blogroll on their blog, either on the right- or left-hand side of the page. On the one hand, you may think that you're doing your readers a favor by pointing them in the direction of other resources that they may find useful, as well as creating more online traffic with cross-links, and the blogs that you recommend might end up getting more hits and therefore a higher page rank. On the other hand, if you want your readers to stay on your page, but you give them links to other pages, you may find them hopping off on a journey away from your blog.

    Blogroll is a feature that list blogs on the side bar of your website. If you are using wordpress CMS, you can find blog roll plugin and widget.

    I have a blog toll on my blog, we do this to help one another gets back link.or traffic, this is just listing other blogs you love on your blog,I could be on.the side bars or beneath one's comment box. it depends on where you want it to be.

    From what I understand the blog roll is a list of other blogs that you recommend to the reader. More often those blogs on the blog roll are friendly and associate blogs that may or may not be related to the niche of your blog. You will not place a strange blog on your blog roll for it may steal all your readers. I guess having a blog roll has 2 reasons – first is the advertisement of friendly blogs and next is to give the readers another option when your blog is not sufficient.
