Unusually high views for one blog post

On one of my blog posts, I am getting unusually high view count while some of the other posts have gotten less than 30. I'm wondering what could be causing this, if it's real traffic or if maybe someone backlinked to that page. Kind of concerned this could hurt my Adsense.

Like how high is it? DO you think that maybe it is just an interesting topic and that is drawing attention to it ? Could this be the reason?

I'm hoping so. I don't know how Adsense treats traffic spikes. I don't use any kind of traffic exchange for any of my blogs. Maybe a post just went viral. I will have to look into it.

When you say unusually high views, what comes to my mind isthe type and quality of your article. I can only relate with pets because that
is my niche. When an article about my dogs gets a high number, I attribute it
to my friends, those people who know me personally and can appreciate my blogs.
And when a generic article gets a high number of views, it may be because the
reader can relate. One of my generic blog is about the so called puppy mills.
Some breeders raise dogs so they can sell the puppies. That may sound
interesting to dog lovers hence that good number of views. And instead of being
alarmed with that article’s high number, you can make it a model for your next
blogs.
