    Develop your own writing style and voice that will be easily recognizable by your reader. Then if you choose to use a guest blogger for posts, be sure to identify them as such. Otherwise, the tone of voice used in the writing will be inconsistent from one post to the next and it could cause you to lose readership.

    At Mylot, I write post about myself. However at Hubpages I write posts for the readers knowledge and what they wanted. Something that are useful to them. So, it depends on the sites that fit the requirement. I noticed that writing niche related posts would garner more external traffic to my posts when I share on social media sites. That is what people are looking for

    This is one of the mistakes that amateur writers commit –writing for themselves. When I started writing for a blog, my motivation was to give our dogs exposure in the social media. But my first few articles were so personal as if I was writing for myself. Yeah, I was asked to rewrite. It was fortunate that I was a co-blogger and someone there could guide me. Veteran writers would say that you have to “go to the bleachers.” That means feel your audience, know what they want. And in order to be effective, you have to imagine a kind of reader when you are writing so your style would fit the prototype reader.
