    How much time do you allow for post editing?

    On many forums, there is a very short window in which you can edit your post, such as ten seconds or less. And, this seems very restrictive. What is the post editing time on your forum?

    It's important to allow members some leeway to edit posts but not so much that it would expose your forum to spam. For instance, a spammer might add forum posts now and then come back a month from now and edit in some links. This would not be acceptable. So you need to limit edit time.

    On my own forum, the edit time is around a minute. And, that seems enough time for most members.
