    When merging forum threads

    When merging forum threads, do you make a note where posts from the merged thread start that the post was merged with another? Such as edit that first merged post to say, 'thread merged from (link). I have seen this done on some other forums, where merging posts has been done.

    Doing this could help avoid lots of confusion especially if the posts that you are merging actually repeat or are similar to ones already in the discussion.
