Are twitter links allowed to be placed in the comments section in youtube? Will it get counted as a spam?

Yes of course they are allowed. Now obviously if you're going into random videos and randomly pasting twitter links to tweets or your own account then that would probably get flagged and reported and your commenting privileges would be restricted. But if you're posting a link to a tweet that is somehow related to the video you're posting on and it isn't done too much just for the sake of doing it then that would be fine.

Initially, I was thinking he meant, posting a Twitter link under his own video but rereading your post, I realize he's talking about comment spam. And, this is certainly not the kind of thing anyone wants to be doing as it can result in penalties against the Youtube account. Maybe if a person asked permission before posting it, or even asked to send a PM to the channel owner, but to post the link openly still comes across as spamming to me.

Yes it is something that you can do. However it is important that the link is related to the particular video, not just any link that would count as being spammy.

They are indeed allowed. Like any related other url you want to share with people. This is a common way for people to grow followers or drive traffic. However, you won't be able to include this sort of link in whatever comment you make, as you need to "stick to the topic". If you're looking at some dog owners videos, they will probably not be interested in hearing about baseballs. This is the key whenever you make a comment or reply in any social media actually. Only make related replies. A few would indicate that this is pure common sense too.

Hi sanfora thanks for your question. And as per as I know by YouTube term and policy, I did not see anything, they will not allow twitter link. So, it is meaning that you have no barrier to post your twitter link under YouTube comments area. But I completely agree with ?idealmike. You must to post your link on those YouTube video which related with your twitter link. And do not post much more in a day in several videos which not related with you and if you continuously trying to do so, you will get restricted for commenting on YouTube and even your Gmail account will get restriction for further functions.
