I'm looking to figure out how to use pinterest for marketing purposes. Any help with pinterest marketing would be greatly appreciated!
Now I've posted a few questions about social media platforms and how to use them. But now I need some help 
I'm venturing into new waters, those waters are pinterest marketing, and I need a few questions answered.
Is there a limit to how many times I can pin something? I'm more referring to the same image and not something similar to a recent pin. Will I get in trouble for pinning the same thing over and over? I'm asking because repetition is one of the keys to making a sale and if I'm using pinterest for marketing purposes I'll be wanting a good profit in the long run.
How do repins work exactly? Are they similar to retweets on twitter where someone comes to your image/profile and repins a pin you've done? Is pinterest basically twitter but for images?
What type of person usually uses pinterest besides business tyring to market their products? I would assume it's predominantly women since every time I hear someone using it, it's a girl (mainly my girlfriend looking up wedding dresses) or a friend who is also a woman. If my assumptions are correct, then I would assume marketing an automotive type website would not convert as well as a jewelry type website, right?
If I pay for an ad, is it shown in a good section or is it easily looked over? I hate it when I pay a premium for an ad and it's pushed to the side or the bottom of the page Having a good click through rate on my ad is ideal and the ad placement is a big factor in that.

You can pin the same URL again unlimited amount of times, but you'll need to use a different image from that source each time. Use the same image too many times and it wont look good on you obviously. A way around this is to upload an image instead and put the URL you want to use, even if its the same URL. Just don't pin your own site ONLY, pin other stuff too that is relevant to your account/business.
Yes, they don't like that, you should mix it up and pin other stuff as well. Not just from your own site either but other peoples sites, other pins you see on Pinterest, mix it up and blend it in. Nobody likes a self-promoter especially on Pinterest.

Pretty much yes! So you pin something to one of your boards, someone can "repin" that pin to one of their boards. Very similar to if you would retweet someone's tweet.
Actually, lots of people, some people pretend they are a person and not a business. This can work better because people like to trust people more than they do a business sometimes. When you're a business, you need to register and use Pinterest as a business. They don't like it when people do business / commercial stuff on Pinterest if they're not registered as a business user. But you don't have to if you use it like a normal non-business person would do (someone that uses it just for fun which is what they're supposed to use it for).
Not necessarily! It all depends how you go about it. There are going to be people that are interested in that sort of thing, you could create boards for things that are related to motorists like photos of motorways or super highways that kind of thing.
You can use Pinterest ads, but you'll need a business account. Pinterest ads show on the site for people who aren't using adblock that is anyway! You can use Promoted Pins which is a service similar to Facebook's post boost. Promoted Pins are just like regular Pins, only you pay to have them seen by more people. They’re native ad units that perform just as well, if not better, than organic Pins.
