How does TITLE tag work?

TITLE tag is one of the most relevant tags for search engines ranking and optimization

As part of your site's optimization for search engines, you will want to include relevant keywords into the title.

Often, the TITLE tag text is that the first thing that a search engine user sees as part of the search listing and that makes a big impression, so it can't just contain keywords but must be optimized in some other way to better inform the user what your site is about so they will be tempted to click on your site search listing.

Generally speaking, you can include 50-80 characters which will be displayed as the TITLE tag when your site shows in search results.

The Title Is The Most Important Part Of Your Websites SEO

The title is the first thing that search engines look at. It's the first thing that people see as well.

You can't rank and be found for "Best SEO Services Ever" if your title says "I Sell Cheap Dog Food Online".

It needs to be optimized and contain your sites main keywords, it needs to be short, sweet and to the point!

Having Really Really Long Titles That Go Outside Of The Average Users Scr....

Don't you just hate that? Sometimes that can be okay if they contain words not already contained in it.

Some SEO's like to put their main keywords they're targeting two times to make them seem more important.

This can actually have a good effect at times but usually the sites title effects the URL as well.

And at the end of the day, long URLs ain't pretty and not easy to remember.

So keep them short, sweet and to the point!

Any more and you're not making the web a better place.

I didn’t know that you can tag the title of the site with keywords. I thought all along that it is the description that matters. Anyway, I guess the title should be short and concise which is not easy to think of because there are so many existing titles in the same genre already. You really need to be creative when you are working online because the competition is very stiff.
