Create a html5 widget that could be put on a website, that would allow for demonstration of site locations on a map of the usa.
The widget should have an area to the left of the map, that would allow for icons or names of a given category. When you click on those category, pins would drop to location related to that given category.
In one case I want to use this, I would have company logos on the left in a list and when you click on them it would show pins drop onto the map that were related to that given company.
It would be good if this would take XML or some want to define categories/companies and then x/y or some means to identify the location to which the pins would fall.
I would like to be able to change the pin graphic and color
I would like the pin graphic to be able to be different for category or company
I would like a means to set the USA map or have the USA map be able to change its color
I would like to be able to change the background color

I am open to feature limitation to help keep the cost down if you have other suggestions. The idea behind this graphic is to have something on the left to click on .. and pins drop in locations on the map on the right.

i will use that to populate a mysql database with that data.
the navigation side will query all the category names.
