    The occasional iframe on your site isn't too bad provided that it's surrounded by lots of unique content. When you place a YouTube video on your site that will be in an iframe which is fine so long as you're not just putting loads of iframes on your site with no other content on it or around them. That way you'll just end up with a site full of iframes which is not only bad for your site but bad for SEO. Those iframes will be hosting content in them from another site, and if that site goes down you'll end with a lot of error pages on your site in them. Not good.

    Thanks for very useful answer @idealmike I am trying to build an amazon affiliate site and I am thinking build pages in different categories with too many iframes. In order to make my site SEO friendly, I also need to publish unique contents. However, my problem is I don't know what is the best ratio between iframe content and original contents. Since my site is affiliate store, there would be more iframe instead of original contents.

    When you have an iframe, you're not really creating new pages of content. You're "framing" some other web page.Every page on your site should be unique--so you should not be "framing" some other page of content.

    I have read about iFrame and it’s an HTML code that you put inside which is like a camouflage to the real link. Do you think that an iFrame is not bad for the SEO of the site? I am also asking the same question because the article that I had read said that it is not good to use iFrame otherwise the search engines will think that you are hiding something which is really a link to another website.
