Where can I find free authoritative blog advertising platforms?

Hi, I have a new blog and I am looking to have its ranking improved on the major search engines through having great traffic. Anyone know of places where I can find great free traffic that is related to my niche? If I make some sales that wouldnt hurt either since its an affiliate website. All your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Publicity clerks is a useful marketing tool. For free marketing I would suggest google plus page with regular hang outs. Google plus is a busy platform with great graphic content and not as polluted as facebook. Google page rankings are free but require regular updates. and clever keywords and images.

Project wonderful if you are lucky you will find some free add campaings or for a really small fee less than a dollar or you could try banner exchanges but you would have to put ads on your blog
