Hi, sorry to tell You this there is good search engines like ,yahoo,bing,ask and others. But if You want to make it big You must get Your Site keywords rank high and then get a good Page Rank on GOOGLE.
At this moment GOOGLE is the king.

Hi, im going to tell you that there are lots of search engines out there like ,yahoo,bing,ask and others. But if You want to make it big You must get Your Site keywords rank high and then get a good Page Rank on GOOGLE.

Yes there are a lot of search engines, but like what they've said, google is still number one and you must optimize yourself for it. Others like only have 35% of the market.

There are other search engines aside from Google. Admittedly, Google is the most used search engine that it occupies the number 1 position in terms of traffic. Yahoo is another search engine that I use once in a while. It is in the top 10 of the list of websites in Alexa. Bing is also there as one of the major search engines which is in the top 50 of the websites list. And if you want to test a not so popular search engine, you can try Ask.com which was the first search engine that I used.
