    I am still confused as to how that could have happened index my website by bing.

    there is actually a very good and simple trick to get  indexed by Bing and it has proven to work (The latest one being submitted last week and I can see it being indexed today).

    But remember, Bing doesn't Index all websites. They have their own requirements!
    Some of my sites Indexed by Bing Automatically, some of sites Didn't Indexed even I submitted them for Indexing!

    Now the tricks is: Go to Bing Webmaster Tools > Verify your website by adding a "TXT" or any suitable method of you for verification!
    >>     As soon you verified it successfully, Apply on "Submit for Indexing". You will get a guaranteed result!
