Link Pyramid means a 3 way link structure.
Link pyramid is same like the link wheel just only having the difference that the linking structure from one site to other is done in pyramidal way!!
The Link Pyramid is organized in 3 parts:
1) Base links
2) Mid-Grade Links and
3) Highest-Quality links

I have yet to see the entire setup of a link pyramid but the comments above have given me an idea that it is like a syndicated link connections of several sites. Sometimes I wonder why some users have to resort to the link farm and link wheel including this link pyramid when they can have quality backlink when they post on a very popular site.
