    Blogging platform or forum platform are not related to SEO. You can choose to blog on any platform whether on wordpress, blogpost, wix, weebly. You can also use any forum scripts you want and it does not matter in SEO perspective. What is important for SEO is using keywords, making the site user friendly, generating backlinks etc.

    I don’t quite understand what you mean by the title of this discussion. But let me assume that you are talking about the SEO of blogs and forums. When you create a blog, the primary objective is traffic because that is how you earn when you enter into the ads program with revenue sharing. The basic SEO methods that I know are the fresh quality contents, backlinks and keywords.
