i don't think so, i put lots of meta tag in my blogger, but for about 2 months i don't have any significant increase traffic

I don't know the answer. Some say Google reads meta tags and some say Google does not read meta tags. However, I always add meta tags to my blog posts. There is no harm in doing this. Some experts believe that Google stopped reading meta tags a long time ago because the bloggers began spamming with meta tags.

According to hobo-web.co.uk, "... Google does not use information in the keywords meta tag or the description meta tag to actually rank pages, but it does use the meta description text to create search snippets ...".
