    It might depend on what type of links you are building. It's better to get a few high quality links from well established pages rather than thousands of backlinks from spam comments on pages with thousands of OBL

    You need to optimize basic SEO and it depends on the Keywords of Content including Content keywords, Kindly read it once again if you are unable to understand I have included in which I backlinks are not required to rank on search engine like Google. Whereas backlinks are very essential for a long term perspective to grow with others.

    Some get the first-page rank on Google Search on the 1st day and some get stuck in time due to heavy competition, you need to rank with backlinks targeting Keywords of Content including Content Keywords.
