    What do you mean by "without posting"? Do you mean to say not posting contents or not posting on social media.
    You need a continuous flow of traffic and good backlinks to keep your page rank high. Once you backlink to good sites, your job for backlinking will be done, however, it is difficult to get constant traffic without promoting. You will have to market your contents heavily in order to gain traffic. Only regular traffic ensures that your site is live and working properly. You can of course get organic traffic from search engines, however, in order to generate organic traffic your website needs to have hood ranking. No body is going to look into page number 10 for your content.

You can also promote your website to bookmarking sites so your link there will have a chance to be read. However, there will come a time that search engines will not read your website anymore for not having new contents – it might be tagged stagnant.
