    What is a cloud tag?

    Who on here can tell me what a cloud tag is? What is it used for?

    Sites such as WordPress let you add tags to your blog posts. Some tags are used more than once. With a tag cloud, you can show all the most used tags on your blog in your sidebar for instance and the tags that are used the most will be the biggest and those that aren't used much will be the smallest. WordPress can do this automatically for you but there are a plethora of plugins that can do it too. One such good plugin for it is Flash cloud tag which creates a cloud of tags in the same way but they move around when you hover over them. It's a cool plugin but only use it if you don't mind having flash on your site which can effect your on-page SEO and peoples browsing experience. Here's an example of a tag cloud and what it looks like. It's just a cloud, full of tags.

    Pardon me for saying this but I have read the comments above for 3 times already and I still couldn’t get a good grasp of what a cloud tag is all about. To be honest I am ignorant of the cloud tag and I really want to learn all about it. But it seems that the comments above are very technical that no one had exerted the effort to make it clearer for a layman like. I hope there will be some other posts that are clearer in explanation.

    in a Blog is you want to use Some Specific Keyword to Highlight Keywords you can use them.
    It works like sub category !
    it you have a Category then either you will create sub categories like Backlinks , on page Seo or create tags it will be same.
    but the only difference it will Shown Separately not with Category.

    tag cloud is cloud of tags in your blog.. when you write a post under label or tag , it will show intag cloud..
