One amazing way to increase your conversions is to offer them something for free. I had a free SEO analysis on my website, which was tied into my mailchimp form, and anyone who took advantage of the free analysis was them getting newsletters from me
People love free stuff, especially the free stuff that is actually good and benefits them in some way, shape, or form. It might take you some money to develop this free service, which can be an eBook or an entire website that has free systems for people to use, but you need to get into giving away something for free if you want to build your lists quickly
Offer a bonus for referrals
This is basically an affiliate system that is set up on your free service. This really only works if you have a free service where people can purchase something if they really want to, or they can earn credits by performing certain tasks and they could use those credits for something on their profile.
Think about it, how do you think all these social sharing websites get so big? It's from referrals People refer everyone they can in order to get credits and more likes, shares, comments, etc. I use to have something like this, not in the social niche, but the users could gain credits for their referrals and even make money from any referral that purchased. It was a digital service, so I gave them 75% of the referrals purchase, which got me a decent amount of affiliate marketers pushing my service since it converted well
People like getting referral bonuses, even if it's not money, because it benefits them in some way
