Website owners all over the world are fighting for the top spot in the rankings in order to increase engagement, sales, and traffic. A proper content marketing strategy goes above and beyond just posting to your own blog. You'll need to be sending out newsletters, post to your social media accounts, post to blogs, and various other things in order to get your piece of the pie. Did you know that roughly 22% of online marketers running content strategies are successful at it? This means that 78% of people, who are doing their content strategies, aren't successful at all. That's a staggering number, and you can avoid being a statistic if you just buckle down and do the work lol.
Some more statistics for you to digest is that 74% of brands regularly go under and disappear from the earth because they go out of business. There is also a statistic that roughly 60% of poeple believe that most of the blogs and websites they visit aren't posting relevant content, which means they will likely leave sooner than they should be.
Luckily, for most of the entrepreneurs out there today, their story is one of the best things they can write about. If you think about it, it's a journey written out in article form that you're sharing with your visitors. You can start a journey discussion and post every week or month until the end of time. The content you will be posting is niche related, making it perfect to increase your rankings naturally 
Even before your website or blog is fully finished, you can get the content generation machine up and running. You can simply write up plenty of articles for your website and save them in .txt form with notepad. This way you can just copy and paste them to your blog and website when you're ready to go and you'll start off with a bang Starting off with a good amount of content is always best because people will come to your pages and navigate towards your other posts naturally. If you only have 1 or 2 posts, they may not navigate past the initial blog post but leave your website without doing anything.
Below I'll be going over 4 ways you can build up your content strategy in order to dominate your niche, stay on top of the rankings, and be the authority people are looking for
Have an idea of what you want to do
You MUST see yourself as a publisher within your industry, if you don't, your content might suffer because you're not investing yourself into it. Many companies actually have quality standards for the content that is being published to their blog. If the content isn't high quality, and optimized, it won't make it to the company's blog.
You'll need to map out, months in advance, what you want to do with your content. If you want to hit 100 posts a month, your goal is then 300 in 3 months. You may not hit 100 in your first month, but if you end with 300 after month 3, you've hit your goal and you need to carry on. You also need to think of how you can post on other blogs and websites in order to build up your own buzz within the industry.
Many companies now require their employees to create content for their blogs in order to attract more visitors through the search engines. Think about it, if you have 50 employees who are all creating high quality content on a daily basis, posting to your blog and bringing in traffic you'll probably need more employees because of all the new clients and sales coming in lol
The down side of all this is that entrepreneurs and website owners can actually be their own worst enemy. We all know how crazy our schedules can be, and this means we might not be able to post as much content to our blogs as we want to. We will put in the time and then ditch the entire content writing plan because we aren't making money from it. What you need to do is simply be patient and the traffic will eventually come in.
You don't have to make your employees write up an article a day, I would suggest maybe one a week. Having them create content is a great thing to do, but you have to remember they have a job to do and you can't hold them back. Having your employees write up one article a week is more understandable, they can actually just write up what they did during the week and who they worked with or helped. Your readers will like reading this content because it is still related to your niche
