Marketers go where the money is, and the money is in social media right now. For the first time in history, there has been more money invested into digital adverting than there was for adverts going through major television companies. This means that most of the companies out there, who are spending millions a month on ads, are moving more towards online advertising since more people are there and not watching as much TV. There are more people on social networks today than there have ever been. Almost 3,000,000,000 people a month use social media at least once, and big corporations are starting to notice. Not just the big corporations are noticing, Facebook realizes this as well and they are constantly pushing to expand each year into different sectors in order to get more people on social media.
When it comes to entrepreneurs or business owners, the move from old time tv advertising to digital advertising shows that many people are trying to create new revenue streams. People are moving to social media platforms and the advertisers are following in order to capture new sales from new people they may not be capturing with traditional methods. Think about it, there was almost $30 billion spent on facebook ads alone, which is a staggering amount to even a millionaire. This just proves that many big time agencies and corporations are moving towards social media ad spend and not traditional methods of gaining new customers.
In this discussion I'll go over 5 ways you can turn a big profit through social media. Remember, all results will vary.
Use Look-alike ads
Look-alike ads are facebooks way of automating your ad creation and target markets and demographics. These ads are set up to target the people who are most likely to convert into a sale or engage with your business page.
Look-alike ads have helped eCommerce websites to increase the likelihood of getting some engagement with potential customers without the need to build their own persona or develop fine tuned marketing strategies. Facebook is basically helping website owners connect with the people who are more likely to turn into a customer while lowering the CPC for the advertiser at the same time, which will increase sales as well as the advertisers ROI.
Over time, an eCommerce website that sticks with their look-alike ads can create a steady cash flow by promoting great products with look-alike ads in order to increase engagement and create new customers.
Influencer Marketing Consulting Service
Over 90% of online marketers who are using influencer marketing believe it's a great tactic to increase your sales online. Big brands are noticing that it's much more difficult to simply talk with their target audience, but with influencer marketing they are getting a vote of confidence from the influencer, which results in the followers of that influencer trusting the brand more. If you can master Instagram stories, you can get in good with big brands who are not great at it. You can offer up your services to help them with their stories, and posts, in order to increase their engagement with people so they can then make a few more sales each day.
In order to fine tune your Instagram content managing service, you should be using their analytics tool so you know exactly what is being liked more, what is being viewed the most, and where you're getting your followers from the most. By doing this little thing, you can increase the chances of someone hiring you as an Instagram content manager.
Use Facebook groups to build a following
People are flooding to social media platforms because their friends and family are on them. For this same reason, people are joining Facebook groups in the masses because see others joining or they simply love the group.
When I'm building a website, I will always lock down my domain name as a Facebook page. Right after that I will create a group related to the same industry my website is in, and link the two. I will then advertise the group, which is by no means a way to spam my links, in order to get people coming in and posting/commenting. Over the course of a few months you can likely get your group to 10k or 20k members and that alone will continually send visitors to your website and increase your sales
Master a platform that your competition is neglecting
One of the trickiest ways to pull the rug out from under your competition is to master a social media platform that your competition isn't using well or neglecting. By doing this, you can become the industry leader in the eyes of the majority of users on that platform since they may not use the other platforms your competitors are fighting over.
You're essentially going where the customers are and the competition is not, increasing the chances of making a sale since you have it all to yourself.
In Conclusion
Dominating social media is not an easy thing to do, but you can cut out your piece of the pie if you simply take your time and don't make too many mistakes. You can fill a void and help other companies out by becoming a service provider or a consultant. People will pay to learn, and you can teach them what to do when it comes to Instagram marketing, Facebook Marketing, Pinterest Marketing, ets. It's not an easy thing to do, but over time, you will know what you're doing well enough in order to help others make more money, which will make you more money

I like the last part of the article which is to "Master a platform that your competition is neglecting". I think this is one of the most important steps to make money. To find a chink in the armor of your competition. If they happen to have a social media website that they are not active or are not participating yet, it's your chance to take the initiative and grab all the audience for yourself! It really makes all the people think that you are one of the industry leaders if they see no one else but you in their feed. This will hit your competitors hard. :)
