People starting off online may not know where to start, and that is why I'm writing up this discussion about dropshipping. Some of you already know what dropshipping is, but there are the newbies who are here that may be confused as to what I'm talking about. Well, dropshipping is a low-cost way to run a full-fledged eCommerce website without having your own products. I actually love dropshipping because I can easily crack into a niche with quality products and not invest anything in my inventory because someone else owns it.You're basically selling someone else's items and keep the profits from each sale. Of course, you'll want to mark up the product 50% or 100% so you can have some money left over after you send the item to your client. A lot of people get into drop shipping, but they use the wrong wholesalers because they simply go to the google search results and pick the top listing. We all know how SEO works, well most of us do, and some niches are easy to rank in than others. What this means is that you shouldn't always pick the top ranked websites to work with because they might not always be the best

Like I mentioned above, you don't have to invest much to get everything started up. You simply have to purchase a WordPress theme and pay for hosting. Almost every hosting company, big and small, will be WordPress ready which means you can upload your theme and have a high-quality design. You'll then need to open up photoshop or hire a logo designer here on SEOclerks in order to get something made for you. Of course, you don't need to purchase a premium WordPress theme, there are plenty of free eCommerce WordPress themes out there that will work with WooCommerce (the eCommerce setup for WordPress) and you can get to selling.Products are usually finished for you (Titles, Pictures, and Descriptions)
When you start up, you will usually be choosing your items from a large directory. Of course, you'll want to pick your niche and this means you will be selling a specific type of items. If you're going to be selling electronics, you won't want to add car items to your website. When it comes to adding the products to your website, you will already have all the images, titles, descriptions, etc. that you will need in order to get your items set up on your own website. You'll want to edit all of the text you're adding to your website, if you're planning on doing any sort of SEO, if you don't you won't see any love from the search engines because of the duplicate content you're adding to your site. I would suggest editing everything you can, but keeping it relevant so you can rank within the search engines and get some free traffic over time Less risk involved if you sell lower ticket items
When you sell physical items online, there is always a risk involved because people could easily do a chargeback after they receive the item. If you start out with dropshipping, I wouldn't recommend selling a high ticket item because you likely won't have enough money to cover any chargebacks that will likely come in. Selling lower priced items, anything under $50, is usually the best thing to do when you're starting off. This is because you can get more sales coming in and the profits from the legitimate sales will cover any chargebacks that you can't cover. You won't always win a chargeback because most of them go right through the banks, meaning you don't have much power over it.You can focus on other tasks and not product fulfillment
Since you're drop shipping, you don't have to worry about product fulfillment and shipping since you won't have any of the items in your hands. Since you don't have to worry about your items being shipped to the customer, you can focus on other aspects of your business like getting the sales rolling in I personally love dropshipping because it's like I'm partnering up with a large corporation that sells me their items at wholesale and I can mark them up to whatever I want. I currently sell an item for $5 and get it for $1, and I make a decent amount of sales just from this item. I've seen other people selling this very same item for $15 and making money, and that's a marketing opportunity for me since others mark up the price more than I do I can say "Other companies sell this very same item for 3 times what we do on our website, so stick with us and save more money!" Drop shipping is nothing new when it comes to making money online. There are plenty of people making a killing when it comes to dropshipping, and there are also a lot of people who aren't making anything. You will need to do your keyword and market research before jumping into a niche. If you don't, you will likely pick a niche where other people had the same idea as you and it will likely be difficult to crack and make money. Since you don't have to worry about your own inventory, dropshipping is usually a great thing to get into if you want to be seen as an authority. It's a good thing to start small too. In fact my husband has initially started it and it helps to establish local connections too.
While what you said is the basic of dropshipping, I wanted to learn the larger scale of it.
