The proof of this lies in the fact that pages that have customer reviews are more likely to be at the top of the search engines because of the credibility and authenticity that the interaction of the customers can create before the engines of search engines.

Unfriendly URLs

So, fail to create friendly URLs is another big mistake for good SEO practices.
Do not categorize products
In addition to getting a better visual organization for store items, creating categories brings improvements in e-commerce SEO. This is because a good categorization structure of products by types, brands and other aspects can directly influence the hierarchy of URLs (cited above).
Therefore, failing to categorize the products of an e-commerce is one of the big SEO mistakes that directly affect the positioning of the pages in search engines.

Very good points! I wish more e-commerce site owners would take this much more seriously! Because I see some e-commerce sites doing, or rather, not doing all these things and more. And it makes me wonder, how on earth are they successful? Perhaps it's all just smoke and mirrors and they are pretending to be successful. Because most successful e-commerce sites realize that they need to step up their game and then make the appropriate applicable changes like these; only posting unique product descriptions, only using high quality unique images, using SEO/people friendly URLs and more. Not putting social proof, customer feedback, mentions, testimonials and things like that. And when you look on their social media pages and profiles, they don't have much activity at all. That's a big put off for me and I'll not likely purchase anything from an e-commerce site that doesn't. Another thing is when an e-commerce site doesn't use SSL. That's a big turn off for me today as well especially if they accept and ask for payment by credit card! Every e-commerce site should be using SSL today it's just the done thing in this day and age! :)
