When it comes to generating content for your website, you need to branch out from text and images, think of explainer videos as the new wave of content marketing that you will be riding. Explainer videos help reduce the amount of emails or tickets you get coming through your helpdesk because the video answers a lot of the questions that might be getting asked. You're basically explaining how everything works with a product or service and that means you're already answering possible questions that could arise if you just had a text based page full of content that would likely get skimmed over.

And TBH, you're right, they are so cheap to produce and can go on to have 100x the benefit in that they will pay back what you paid for them 100x over and more and just keep on going. Plus they can be SEO'd as well as a video on YouTube is just a web page like any other. Apart from it's a video. But yeah! Video truly killed the radio star and is the way to go these days IMHO!
