    5 ways to increase your engagement on facebook

    Like most businesses, you probably have a Facebook page, but do you have much engagement through it?  Today it's more important to look over the entire process of what you're doing with your Facebook page and measuring it's success.  You can't simply evaluate everything based on how many likes a picture or post gets, you need to break it down even more.

    A recent study by BuzzSumo was conducted recently that went through 800 million Facebook posts from 2016 to see which posts had the most engagement from the users.  Now if you didn't know, Facebook is the largest social network online today with around 1.8 billion active users each month.  There are also around 80% of adults from the US who are actively on Facebook as well, but that's pretty obvious since everyone and their grandmother has an account now lol.  For this simple reason, Facebook is one of the best marketing platforms to get the word out about your product.

    So what kind of posts will grab a users attention encouraging them to engage?

    • Anything with an image will be better than plain text.  Images and videos will always get more engagement than a regular text post, guaranteed.  Another good thing about this is that videos tend to be shared much more often.
    • One thing that really caught me off guard when reading BuzzSumos report is that when posting on Sundays you actually get more engagement.  This is due to businesses not posting on Sundays because they are not open, which filters out a lot of posts and yours is likely to be seen more.  This is one of the reasons I'm rethinking my posting schedule to add in odd hours of the days as well as weekend posts 5 ways to increase your engagement on facebook
    • Shorter posts, like something you'd see on twitter, usually get more engagement than a long drawn out and detailed post.  If you were to link to a post on your own website that has a large article, you will get even more engagement.
    • Linking your Instagram account to automatically post to your Facebook page seems to be less engaging than if you were to just post directly to Facebook.  So rethink your Instagram to Facebook automation.

    1. You need to think about what was said above and get some videos going.  Make some videos that can be posted to your Facebook page and then shared.  This will increase your engagement by all the shares bringing in new people who will hopefully share as well.  If you're not good at making videos you can always use a whiteboard video creation service here on SEOclerks.com or just post a relevant video from your niche to your page to get some buzz going.

    2. Think of getting into Facebooks PPC platform to increase your reach.  What you'll want to do is wait a day or two before you start promoting your posts.  This is because you'll want some natural engagement on your post before you start bringing people in.  Once you start to promote your post I would only do it for a maximum of 48 hours and then letting it settle for 24 to 48 hours.  After that you can promote again and then let settle.  This will let your post gain more and more natural likes and shares while also bringing in the paid viewers 5 ways to increase your engagement on facebook

    3. Add links to your posts for better traffic.  Now you don't have to ask people to buy from you, you're simply linking to an article on your website for more information if the user wanted to read more.  You can also link to your newsletter signup form and say something like "Want more information like this?  Sign up for our weekly newsletter".  Using Facebook to market your business is more than just getting likes to your page, so think outside the box a little bit when doing so 5 ways to increase your engagement on facebook

    I am on facebook since 7 or 8 years. I get good engagements when I share on facebook. Here are some of the things I do.
    Share interesting and useful contents
    Interact with the people
    Reciprocate the commentators
    20 percent of my shares are my post and remaining 80 percent I share are from other people.

    I try to share among the friends. Also I try to share contents with the pages. And that works out good so far. Though I guess I have to find other ways. I have managed to earn more likes by sharing posts in groups. It may not be easy to get initial likes and engagement but it's possible. As long as you are doing some consistent work then it's possible for sure.

    thanks for the information, as I'm working to grow my business, I know it's important to use Facebook to grow your business, I have not been taking advantage of this site like I can. I use other sites like twitter and Instagram for my business, but Facebook is a must for just about any business in 2017.

    You should update your Facebook page regularly so your fans and customers could get in touch with latest features and products. Do Link you facebook page and your blog with each other so if a visitor comes to the one side, then he might come to the other platform too. In this way, you will see a massive change in your sales and traffic.

    Yep, Facebook is absolutely huge when it comes to its impact and all the possibilities that can aid and increase your business sales/traffic.

    I agree with the person that wrote that Facebook demands determination. If you aren't determined and won't stick with your initial plan (it should involve everything Razzy listed in his post) you won't succeed. It is that simple. You can't expect magic from one post every few weeks. You have to be consistent at making many highly ENGAGING posts at a certain quality level if you wish to see positive results.

    I have a Facebook page concerning my business and those information you provided above will surely help me. I have to agree that images and videos especially about things that I am interested in do grab my attention. I have shared some videos on my Facebook page and this has enabled me to get more followers on my page and also to increase the number of views on my videos.

    My style in Facebook to get more followers and reactions is to make interesting posts and as much as possible with photos. I avoid sharing posts especially from websites and I rarely post links. Posting trivial and nonsensical items can affect your reputation so I am maintaining my image as far as posting in Facebook is concerned.

    There is a difference between the engagements on your timeline and your page. If I post a photo of my child, I can get 100 likes and 50 comments, however, if I post something about my business there will be hardly 10 likes and 5 comments. However, if I post about my business on my business page, there will be more engagements. However, in order to improve engagements on your posts you share on your page, you need a lot of followers genuinely interested in your business.

    I agree with everything said in the post and it's all because i own a facebook with thousands of active users which i got through the exercising of almost every tip explained on the post.

    Facebook is indeed the best platform you can ever use to get the word out and that's why it's the most preferred marketing platform for business owners seeking to drive a meaningful audience to their base.     Facebook Pages are actually fan page that is reserved for popular personalities but they can also be used for places like your hometown and even products like agricultural or herbal products. The Facebook Group is a network which is very appropriate for those with sites that they want to promote because the Facebook Group also has a niche. You can imagine the engagement if your site’s niche is the same as the Facebook Group’s niche. The members would definitely react to your post about your site.
