SEO trend for 2017 – Authentic Photography vs Stock Images

With stock images being freely available online many websites are using all the same images. They have the same look and feel which is starting to become very noticeable.

Websites now need to find ways to stand out from the crowd which means there is a movement away from stock images.

Authentic photography is on the rise now with many people choosing to take their own photos or hire photographers to take the exact shots that they need to stand out and to show themselves in the way they want to be seen.

On the rise too are illustrations, so illustrators will be more in demand than ever. Illustrations can be fun, funky and colourful and also more original than photos can be.

Sure! It's really like having unique contents (articles). We have seen so many unique articles published but using same images picked up from Google image search or some other sources, so i bet Google will be starting to filter these unique images too and giving the new and unique photos a boost in SERP. It makes sense

Thanks Abid, that is going to make things quite tricky if I am creating a new blog post every single day and I need unique images for each one.

I guess it is now time to get myself a really nice camera. I have been wanting to buy one for a long time but I have been putting it off because of the expense....

It is going to be tricky to come up with unique photos all the time, but I guess if it really makes a huge difference then I should go for it. Perhaps I should chat to some photographers in the area and see if we can come up with an arrangement for regular and unique images.

With the prevalence of good camera phones I guess authentic photography is on the rise. Think of the people who have nothing to do but tinker with their phones, they are prospects for amateur photography that they can take photos from time to time. We had our first digital camera in 2004 and since then we were already using our own images when needed because we know that it is not good to use stock images that we can find online. Having your own photographs is the best.
