UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugin Review

Everyone needs to be backing up their sites and with the UpdraftPlus wordpress plugin you can do just that with ease

The UpdraftPlus wordpress backup plugin is pretty simple to use since you can automate your backups and send them to multiple locations. A few of the bigger places to send your backups are Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, Rackspace Cloud, DreamObjects, FTP, Openstack Swift, UpdraftPlus Vault and your own email. I tend to send them to my own email and then I add them to my external hard drive for safe keeping. If I could somehow send the backup directly to my external hard drive I would lol.

If you need to upload a backup you can do it easily with their one click install system that will take all of your files and upload them extremely fast. This is really good in case you got hacked, you could just upload the latest backup in a few seconds if you have auto backups enabled.

There's a paid version of the UpdraftPlus wordpress backup plugin that will allow you to backup your files to the following: Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage, SFTP, SCP, and WebDAV. Getting the paid version of this plugin is not neccessary and will still work wonders with just the free version

With over 900,000+ active downloads, UpdraftPlus Backup is the most used backup plugin available for wordpress, and if you have ever used it you know exactly why that's the case lol. This plugin is extremely powerful yet simple enough for someone who isn't tech savvy to run with ease.

With over 900,000 active downloads there is a very small amount of negative 1 star reviews for this plugin. By looking at the rating chart above you can figure out the the majority of people do love this plugin. The fact that it's updated frequently is also nice because it means the programmers behind UpdraftPlus are diligent with their work and want everyone to have the best backup plugin possible

Nice one Razzy. I have been struggling to backup my website with the plugin that I currently have installed, WP Backup. For some reason when I try and backup my website it gives me an error message and this just drives me crazy. I managed to get someone to backup my websites for me last time I needed to backup but I like to be able to do everything on my own without having to rely on anyone else.

I really appreciate this recommendation for UpdraftPlus Wordpress Backup. I will give them a go and see if I can get it right this time. Can you backup to Dropbox with the free version?
