Have you ever heard of the Wordfence security plugin for Wordpress? All of us know what Wordpress is, but do we know if it's vulnerable or not? With every update to Wordpress and every new plugin you add, there is an increased chance of a security vulnerability 
This is where the Wordfence security plugin comes in handy. Wordfence has it's own proprietary feed that will track everything to do with your wordpress website. If there is a threat detected you will be notified almost immediately, which is a very nice thing when it comes to patching up holes in your security
A really cool thing about the Wordfence security plugin is that it's 100% free and open source. You don't have to pay a single penny if you don't want to and you can do what you want with it since it's open source. There are pro features that you will have to pay for, but they aren't needed in order for the Wordfence security plugin to work extremely well.
The Wordfence security plugin is one of the most downloaded plugins wordpress has to offer on it's plugin platform. It's not actually a shocker to me because this plugin is extremely well coded and does the job of 10 men manually searching for holes in your security and an entire IT team lol.
Wordfence has been downloaded over 1,000,000 times and only has 71 one star reviews. That says volumes when it comes to positive feedback. There are only 71 people in the pool of 1,000,000+ who actually had a bad time with this plugin and I'm sure it's due to them not figuring out how to set it up, configure it, or just activate it within their wordpress dasboard lmao
If you want to secure your wordpress website or blog, I highly suggest you check out the wordfence security app because it's one of the best I've seen, and 1,000,000+ others thing the same thing

It's kind of a toss up since they both pretty much do the same thing. I would lean a little more towards iTheme, but I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe I like the images more lol :D
