I have my heart set to find a box set of the complete series of The Little House on the Prairie to give it as a gift. Sadly there does not seem to be any available in Region 2 at affordable prices, and whatever is available has the box in German, so it does not make much sense. I finally managed to find it from this site http://www.buydvdus.com/product-Little-House-on-the-Prairie-Seasons-1-9-DVD-Boxset-1962.html
but since they only accept payment by card I am a bit wary. I assume I would not be getting any sort of buyer protection, and I am not sure if I can trust this site especially after reading this review here - http://www.scamner.com/check/buydvdus.com
I am tired of looking and am starting to give up. I thought of posting here just in case anyone based in Europe knows of any good site where to buy dvds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Now if they only accept payment by debit/credit card. And you was using a credit card, you're actually protected by your credit card company. However, I've checked out that site, and there is no SSL used anywhere on it. Not even on the page where you enter your name and address details. However, once you get past that page and to the page where you have to enter your card details. It opens up a new page and website altogether (https://ipay.dinpay.com/gateway?input_charset=UTF-8) which does use an SSL certificate.
dinpay.com is a payment processor company for China. I don't know how easy or hard it is to get a dinpay.com account. Just how much checks they do on your genuinity and you are who you say you are. But I'd image them to be a legit payment processor for purchases made on that site.
So if you're using a credit card, you're somewhat protected by that to get your money back. But the site doesn't use SSL on the name/address / delivery details page and redirects you to that dinpay.com site to pay for it.
So you'll probably be alright. But I wouldn't use it. Guess it depends how desperate you are to get that boxset.

Oh no that's from the Waltons isn't it LOL Well it's a Chinese owned website so you're right to be concerned. Although it is hosted in America. And it's good that you've done some research into the site first before buying. +1 to you for that as a lot of people wouldn't do that. However, that site that you've used ([color=#0000FF]scamner.com[/color]) to check if it's a scam site or not, doesn't actually tell you that it is a scam site or not. All that site does is look at whether it has an SSL certificate, whether Google has reported it as safe/unsafe, and whether it has any trust records (that could be citations/reviews on places like Yelp etc).
