Amazing clients and you want to repay them somehow..

Let's face it, we offer way to many things free of charge. A friend, a family member, a colleague, you name it.. We offer them things for free because we are nice and "we can".

We give away products and services on a regular basis, and we offer discounts and come up with special deals for our clients all the time..

There's no point in giving your clients something more "in return for being a loyal customer". However, you should obviously over-deliver as often as you can, to ensure they'll still keep coming to you whenever they need something.

But don't just suddenly offer them something for free that they've never even showed interest in. I literally saw a social media provider suddenly offer one of their biggest clients a brand new logo for their website. And logo design wasn't even NEAR his expertise.

That's too deep. Keep it professional and don't become the "nice guy" everyone would want to become friends with. Friendship and business can be a tricky thing.

Hey let's face it we're nothing without our clients are we? We'd have no sales and no money coming in without them. Amazing clients and you want to repay them somehow.. And every seller appreciates their clients business. Well most do. And they expect you to. Just like they appreciate the business or work you're doing for them. And I'm all about loyalty and do reward my loyal buyers on here with discount codes and over delivery and the full works treatment and the like. But I get what you're saying and there's no point offering extras they probably don't want or haven't expressed an interest in to me. Like if someone was buying an SMM service I might offer him something similar like some SMO service. You know, sort of how a car salesman would try to upsell some in-car entertainment system he might throw in as a bonus but he wouldn't offer them a chicken shed. The key is to offering or giving things that you know they would be interested in and appreciate having. And even then, you want to make sure that is up to scratch and you can do it on a professional level as it could actually end up backfiring on you if they aren't happy with it! So yeah, keep it professional and keep it relevant people! Amazing clients and you want to repay them somehow..

Hey Mike, yeah, I totally get you and I couldn't agree with you more. What I've been seeing is people who basically offer their clients something totally unrelated to what they've been purchasing or been interested in, and they do this to "bond" with their clients on a more personal level. Well I suppose that's what they're trying to do, and that's also the thing I'm talking about here. There's no point in doing that.

Sure, the client would obviously like high quality and they expect to get what they are paying money for, just like you as a seller. You expect to get paid for what you deliver. But to keep your clients "near" and satisfied, you shouldn't try to deliver things they've never said they were interested in. That doesn't make any sense at all to me.

Hmm I don't know, I do like it when people I buy from do try to make me happy in their own little way. Whether it's through offering me some free bonus or something. Even if I don't want/need it. I see that as a good thing and appreciate their offer. Although if I don't want/need it or see any value in it I'll politely decline their offer. So yes it doesn't really make much sense to offer something I might not need or want or that I haven't already expressed an interest in. Although I do appreciate the sentiment but they should try to make sure it's something they know I would value otherwise it's just a waste of time isn't it?

That is true Mike, and sure, I would appreciate nice offers or free gifts from people too, but if I, on a regular basis, are buying things from one specific seller, then I wouldn't want something completely different from them, just "for the sake of it". - I don't know, I see it like a "bribe" of some sort, lol Amazing clients and you want to repay them somehow..

That being said, if I got the next couple of orders for free or for a discount, then I'd appreciate their gesture and their offer. - But I can't see a reason for anyone trying to "bribe" their clients, just to show their appreciation. - A "thank you" is more than enough for me.

Well,I get your point but I don't think we should totally restrict incentives and giveaway from our loyal customers. in fact without them we can't be where we odd to be.So we should always give incentives to our loyal customers.

I don't think I would mix business with friendship. I know a couple of people who have recruited their friends to help them, or to even hire them to work for their business and it turned sour. Their friendships are broken, and it's all due to differences in the work place. You should never hire a friend to help with your business unless they absolutely know exactly what they are doing, and have experience, etc. Don't lose a friendship over business related issues, it's never worth it!

I woudn't mix friendship with business, even though I'm often asked "Can you build me a website?". Usually I say that I can't because I'm so busy, and hope they understand, but in reality I just don't want to, in case something were to ever occur. It's best to be safe than sorry, and then lose a friend over something stupid!

It is nice to give away free services, especially to regular clients, or to those who order a lot, so you give them a bulk discount.
However giving away a lot of discounts or even services for free may end up making you look unprofessional. It is as if you are begging for people to order from you, and you are so desperate to get more orders by pleasing them that you go out of your way by being too nice. In time these buyers will keep expecting this kind of treatment, and so it is not going to pay off well as you get busier and cannot handle it all!

I think that loyal clients should always to be rewarded as a morale booster to show them that you really care about the way you've done business with them over the years. I won't say offering free services is the best way to go, but if you can offer such services, then it is still fine for me. You can also give big discounts in one of the works you're doing for the person to show appreciation
