We live in a time where it's almost natural for us all to write and sell ebooks, guides and reports. Hundreds of people are doing it everyday and even though just a handful of people succeed, there's always new authors trying their luck.
That being said, what I don't see as much, is Audio books.
Audio books are probably the easiest thing to do, yet, there's so many people who never thinks about this possibility. - And why is it the easiest thing to do?
Compared to ebooks, you don't have to write and think about proper grammar. Which is a big deal when it comes to foreign authors as myself. - So I'll save myself tons of hours by ignoring that part.
And in comparison to videos, you don't have to create them, and for a non-experienced person it's almost impossible to create a good video.
Do I need to state more reasons? - I think not.
When you've made your audio book, and if that goes well, in terms of sales. Then you could write your ebook and offer a package deal instead. - That's literally a 2 in 1 deal and if everything works out well, you'll be able to provide videos too as a third option.. Which would make your "tiny product" become a huge deal for most potential buyers.
With all that being said.. It's not as easy to make audio books as it might sound.. But with a little bit of training, the possibilities are endless.

Hey man great great topic! I've barked on about audiobooks before and how useful they can be. Sure, they don't contain "links" and images/pictures etc like eBooks too. But they are much more "alive"? if that's the right word, than eBooks are. Because you're speaking it. People can relate to that much easier and also, they are much easier for people to listen to. Whether at home, in the bath? Or on their way to work on the bus/train or in the car. And those are the best times to listen to them. And I was thinking of doing something for my new eBook coming up soon. Creating an audio version of it. But although I've been told I have a nice voice lol, I would probably hire this south African to do it for me as who doesn't love a s/ African accent!?
I guess you're really onto something here and actually yes! This is a sound idea! It would make sense to offer them as a trio of sorts. So you have your normal eBook with words and images in it. Then you have an MP3 version of it as well the audio file. And you could make a video on it as well. That could either be you talking and showing something in action or how to do something while you're talking them through it. And all in all, that would make a nice offer to have and bundle them all together.

I just wonder what sort of equipment I would need to get that done, do you have any advice or suggestions? Andre I was actually thinking of creating audiobooks to go hand in hand with the ebooks I am writing and of course I have also done some Youtube videos so it would be a natural sort of progression for me to try my hand at audiobooks.
