Can I create a WTT for articles written by freelancers

Andre posted a brilliant idea recently about unique ways to gain affiliates here.

So here's what I want to know right? I love this idea, I think it would work so well for my website where I blog about making money online. I review all sorts of make money online opportunities and share online marketing tips,how to videos, social media marketing information. If it involves working online and making money online it fits right?

So would I be allowed to use Andre's idea and create a WTT. So a freelancer here can write me a high quality, original article and then I link that article to that freelancer's service using my affiliate link?

This would mean I gain affiliates (YAY), I get great content for my website (YAY!) and the freelancer gets a great opportunity to showcase his or her services and possibly make a lot more sales?

Although like I mentioned in Andre's discussion the only bummer for the freelancer could be that even though the post will be linked to his service, that reader could decide to venture into the market place instead and buy from someone else....

Oh I was going to post a follow up post from Andre's post last night. But my head was pounding due to this flue I'm fighting so was going to do it today. But your post asks about it in a different way. I never thought to use WTT but in answer to your question, yes, you could use the WTT for to do this exact kind of thing. Actually, I think that would be a very smart thing to do. And a genuine use of the WTT section. And that would make for a WTT that wouldn't be the normal type of WTT we often see on here.

As the method is essentially trading, you could say, I'll give you content in exchange for you posting that content on your site with my SEOClerks service link in it. You could see if they would be willing to post the link with your affiliate link, or even theirs. Yours would be better though because then like you say, if those same people that visit from it decide to buy other stuff on SEOClerks, you would only get a commission from that if your link was your affiliate link.

I think this could work out quite nicely though Lynne so I would say go for it and create the WTT. You could promote that WTT on your own site and other places too. But you could probably in all possibility, bag a few trades from people just on here. Just remember to use some keywords in the skills field that would relate to the type of people you'd want to trade with. Like content, and blogging etc.

Hahaha MIke I beat you to it! For some reason that gives me a kick. I will just push it out of my mind that I had an unfair advantage because you are like dying of flu

Yes this sounds like a great idea, I am like so going with this one. I will only do it using my own affiliate link though because it is my website and I am wanting to make lots and lots and lots of money!

Woohoooo yeah I am going to take a bit of time to think about this Mike, how I want to set it up. I think I'm sitting on a goldmine with this.

Hey Lynne,
I'm glad you liked the idea. Your WTT idea seems like a good way to approach this entire thing. However, like I stated within the topic from yesterday, I'd probably go with a "buy now" button directly, instead of linking to the actual service (where it fits).

For instance, if you publish a great service review. In that review you'll most likely describe everything about the service, pros and cons and whatever. In those scenarios, I'll go with a buy now button, as I personally believe you'll increase your chances of making sales by adding such a button instead of a link to the service.

LOL Andre... write me an article and we can talk about it

I was thinking of asking for articles that are about online marketing and seo topics, like guest posts and then linking it to the writers relevant service to that topic and the writers profile. Either way this is a great idea, like a totally awesome idea.

I am not sure I like the idea of publishing a review of a service that I didn't write with my name there, but putting the sellers name on a service won't look good.

My website does do reviews but I am more interested in quality articles that share valuable information for my readers....

We could always use Mike for the articles. I'll get him onboard and I'll take 10% from him. Sounds fair to me.

Anyhow, I can totally see why you'd rather go with articles than reviews, especially when it comes to having your name attached to it. - It's just a suggestion. To use "buy now" buttons directly instead of a link to the actual service. - I'm certain of the fact that it will bring better results in the long run.

Looks like you've already got yourself a decent offer if you ask me. Sounds promising indeed. However, you've also got what so many others gets.. Offers for something totally different and unrelated. - I seriously can't understand the reasoning behind such offers..

That seems like a double win for you Lynne, getting content but also getting affiliates in the process! The only thing the seller gets are possibly some new orders, I personally don't see it as a huge advantage and opportunity but go ahead and try it!

If it works for you and the seller you choose that's great! Are you planning to post the content on your mommy blog? Because, I doubt there are much potential SEO clients on that niche, it has to be high traffic or community related.

Hi Cristian, oh no definitely not my mommy blog! I can't see that being helpful at all for any freelancers here, the niche is completely wrong.

I like to keep everything niche related as it certainly helps everyone when it is done this way. I have a blog about online marketing where I promote SeoClerks and other online marketing tools and programs

I already have 21 affiliates from my website and I have made a few affiliate sales already from the review I wrote about SeoClerks.
