Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
Hello all. To any webmasters, bloggers, entrepreneurs out there. I'm sure many of you have launched new projects, websites that you've worked on for a while but never took it to the next level, or grew bored of working on it and largely abandoned and neglected to nurture your website in favor of working on other things.
I have several sites and domains like that and have them in the past. Projects that I've started but ran out of steam on! And due to getting tied up in other things, not had the time to invest into them and get them off the ground! Usually these I end up flipping around the time it comes to renew them and let someone else have a go at them.
Sometimes I've seen some of my old sites that fit that scenario perfectly that I've flipped and seen the new owners put some effort into them and they have made them their money back and a profit on top and some are still up and running today. Some just eventually vanish though and that probably means they, like me, either ran out of steam or just didn't put enough effort in to take it to the next level.
And sometimes I wish I never flipped them and just kept them and worked on them myself. Because I look at those old sites and see areas on it that they should go in that they hadn't that I would of done. That sort of thing. Seeing your dreams not quite fulfilled by someone else is a strange feeling when it comes to websites. Although dream is a bit strong, more idea. But can you relate to that?
And have you ever come across this scenario before yourself for your own websites/projects? Do you have many "back burner" sites that you have on simmer? How many do you have and do you just abandon them and let them expire or do you always renew them or do you just try and flip them like I usually do on DP or WF or Flippa or somewhere?
If you keep them, and always renew them. Do you ever bring any back and revive them? Have you seen results and success from doing this? Old sites/projects/ideas you started but mostly abandoned but breathed a new lease of life into it and made it a profitable and lucrative website/business?
I ask because I have several sites like this that are coming up for renewal soon that I have largely neglected for a while and I either need to do one of several things with them.
Yeah you know that! That's what it comes down to time and money! And I know what you mean about it being easier as the ground work and initial stuff has been done and there's something to work on top of. That's why I'm so reluctant to let them drop or even sell them. I've got a few sites I can fit into that category and some I might just rather flip to someone else that will work on them. I was thinking of perhaps entering into some deal where I get 50% of the profits for life but I doubt many would agree to that even if I let them have it cheap lol. That's twice you've asked me now, I may just take you up on your offer and through some numbers your way see how you react. :)

Haha, ok ok I have 10 domains so far I just saw my hosting account lol. And the interesting part is that only two or three of them are active, But at least I bought them with a cheap price. :D

Soul destroying Lynne. Especially when you see that 12 months down the line, the new owner hasn't done a single new thing on the site and then sometimes after that the site goes down and the domain drops. But those times, all is not lost as sometimes you an actually get the domain back and reregister it. I've done that a couple times on domains/sites I've sold. Then register then and inject some new life into them and then either sell them again to someone else or keep them until someone makes a nice offer! :)
And that's sacrilegious about your daisies!

It really depends on what you have on your plate at the moment, are you earning a good income right now? Do you have your plate full so to speak? If you do have good ways of creating income that eats most of your time and you are happy with that, keep doing it and just sell your websites.
But if you have the time and you think some of them still have potential, go ahead and re-invest in them and maybe they'll turn a profit around at some point. Even better, PM me with some offers, I'm really thinking of buying such unstarted projects because they're easier to manage, when starting from scratch I have to invest a lot of work and time and I probably just quit half way through, this was I may have a chance on actually finishing a project and earning from it. I've done such things in the past, abandoning domains and websites just to focus on something else.
