I've been thinking about all the different ways I can make money online and I want to know what everyone here thinks of selling photos online to make money.
Has anyone here ever sold photos online and made money? Where did you sell your photos and how much can you earn per photo or does the amount vary greatly per site?
I know I will have to get a good camera and spend quite a bit of effort taking really good quality photos. Getting into photography has always been something I have been interested in, so it would be more like pursuing a hobby and monetizing it.

Of course, you could even sell them at Listing Dock or Pixel Clerks as well. That way, you can put a small watermarked version in the post and then sell the original. You could add extras for each photo and sell unlimited photos in just one service.
Yes! Absolutely you can! And many people do! Both on a small scale and on a larger scale too. And in many different ways! And for a long time too people have been making money selling photos and images online. Mostly stock photo sites. They've been around a long time and in order for them to get people to pay to use them they need fresh high quality photos, images and pictures of things of manner of different things that you can take a photo of from road signs to trees, from pigs to penguins, from doorknobs to dandelions, sunsets, sunrises and everything else under the sun!

Some of those stock photograph sites have programs you can join up to and sell your photography to them. You can find more by Googling around for [b]stock photo sites to sell photos to for cash[/b]. Which will also pull up some other lists of places to sell your photos to.
Actually this is a great topic! I have this one friend called Bill who's been traveling a lot and has a lot of photos he took of all the places he's been to and got up to and stuff. Like amazing waterfalls, caves, landmarks and places, beaches and sunsets. Many many sunsets. He has them all stored and locked away on his USB key. I keep telling him mate they are some amazing photos you've got there. You can sell those online to stock photography sites and make a killing from them. That way you'd be doing the world a favor and letting them see what you've seen that they've never seen before. And they'd do you a favor and give you cash for them too.
Not just that, but you can also sell your photos offline as well. There's a shop not too far from me that buys photos from you. Enlarges them then prints them and frames them for you in the shop. When it sells, they keep a cut of it and you get the rest. Of course, you'd have to declare that and pay tax on it, but some of them can go for up to £200 depending on the photo and that. The great thing about this is, if it sells, when it sells, all they have to do is print another one and sell it again. That means you'll get paid again for each one they sell. Not all shops and places do that though some only pay you once or just for the photos you sell them.
All stock photograph sites you sell them to online will only ever pay you for them once as well though. No matter how many times they sell those same photos to their users. But that's okay as there is more than one stock photo site you can sell them too. However some stock sites require that you have not sold them to any other stock site before. You have to know which.

I'm still really keen on getting my drone aerial photography and videography business off the ground! There is a great growing demand for aerial photography and video. Especially by those in the events industry like wedding planners and the like. Or just anyone that needs it for some reason. But that can lead to other things and one in particular taking amazing aerial photos of sunsets and other famous landmarks and things and doing all the above with the photos. :)
One thing I'll say about this though, if you're going to do it. Make sure to use Blockai first to register your images to the block chain. That way you can prove you was the original owner of them as sometimes some people try to rip you off! :O
