3. Each social media platform is different, you need to know exactly which one to use based on your niche, don't spend your efforts on a platform that won't work for you no matter how hard you try.
4. Build your brand by staying active on social networks and Q&A websites like Quora. Don't forget to interact with your clients, respond to their reviews in a professional way. Publish alternative content like ebooks or develop infographics.

Yes indeed! The design of your website can make or break you as a successful website these days. If you're using a website that looks like it was made 10+ years ago, doesn't have all the "bells n' whistles" that most modern websites have (such as being responsive / mobile friendly / AMP pages etc) then people will likely not make any purchases on that site. It's the same for your brick and mortar shop too. If your real shop doesn't look very pretty, has dirty / cracked windows and looks like it could do with a revamp/facelift and a lick of paint here and there, people will likely not even walk into it let alone make any purchases from it!
Yeah Twitter is pretty solid for new businesses to get started these days. It can help you not only to reach more clients in the social sphere, but also to find and connect / network with other industry leaders in your market niche. Whenever I launch a new product or business, Twitter is one of the first places I turn to for this reason. By following people in your industry, tweeting their tweets and the like, they will do the same for you and tweet your tweets to their followers who are already probably interested in your products. Continued use of Twitter on a regular can mean more people knowing about your product / business and get you more traffic and sales!
Yeah that's true, a lot of people struggle understanding this. They spend a lot of time and effort and money using one social media site and then wonder why it's not working for them. Each social media site can be used to promote virtually everything, but not each social media site is equal when it comes to that. That's because of the demographics of the users actually using those social media sites. To see better results from your SMO campaigns, do your research and use the social media sites where most of your intended, targeted audience will be.
Quora is pretty cool for this reason alone. Most Q&A sites are. But you only get out what you put in! I keep saying this but it's true. A lot of people use them for a couple of days, then grow tired or bored and stop using them. Then they turn round and say something like "oh those places are rubbish and a waste of time". No no and no! You get out what you put in. It's not a one hit solution. You need to keep doing it, and then keep doing it and then keep doing it and then do it some more. Every day, or every week. Even if you see some success from it. Don't stop, keep going! Keep going until your fingers bleed and you need to buy a new keyboard because the blood is making the keys stick.
A/B testing is your friend isn't it? It helps you to know whether something is worth doing or not. It helps you to know which of the both you're testing is worth spending more time on and which one is probably worth dropping like a hot brick!
