FiverrClerks - From Fiverr Zero To SEOClerks Hero. Part 11

Being A Buyer
In case you decide to be a buyer instead, the competition is still awesome. You have tons of sellers to choose from.. And because of the competition they're at, they WANT YOU.

Most of the sellers are actually quite desperate, which is sad, but it's something you can benefit from when it comes to business. They want you. They need you. Many of them will do mostly anything you tell them to do, for a very affordable cost, just to get that sale they're longing for.. Don't become one of those if you decide on selling. I forbid you. Do never become that desperate. It's NOT worth it. Not now and not ever.

Let's say you're in need of a logo for instance. A full color logo with transparent background. Most sellers are providing that for about $15 all the way up to $100+. In case you find someone great, who still doesn't have too many clients and orders in queue compared to other sellers, just go for it. Send them a message and ask them if they can do the things you want. Tell them about the whole shebang. You need full color, transparent background and so on. In case they say yes, just purchase the service.

In case they can do it but tells you to purchase the gig extras or another type of package. Simply tell them no and that you need it for the amount you're willing to pay. They'll agree about 7 or 8 times out of 10. Even though the sellers might earn a little less than usual for that specific thing, they'll still earn money and the decision is entirely theirs to make.

Do what you believe is right, I won't recommend it but I won't think less of you in case you do act like this. Business is business and money is money. Just note that you shouldn't take advantage of the sellers in this way if you'll be using them for a long time when outsourcing.

Why..? - Because suddenly, the sellers will provide less quality and you might end up with unsatisfied customers yourself for delivering poor services.

Another reason..? - Because you can afford paying the full amount if you outsource to the right clients yourself. You'll still earn money for doing practically nothing.

The Money Is In The List
People always says "The money is in the list!" so is it actually possible to make money without one..?

- It certainly can't hurt to have a list, but it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're going the affiliate route and want to promote products as an affiliate I'd say, build a list. That would be the best way if you're doing it honestly and if you put in the work it'll need.

Note that you'll probably have to do your own research for this too. You can't just start sending emails about various products in different niches. You'd probably need to build multiple lists so you can separate the clients from each other. A client who bought an ebook about weight loss would probably not be too interested in a graphic design course for instance. Get the point?

You need to send targeted offers to clients who bought something within the same or a very similar niche. Otherwise you'll end up with no results.

That said, it wouldn't hurt to build a list. Let's say you make a list of SEO services. You got the list by providing a SEO service on Fiverr, SEOClerks or any other marketplace (even though it's against the TOS on most marketplaces to have contact outside the marketplace). You got the list because you thought outside the box..

Why wouldn't you promote a similar product by sending them an email about it? It's totally free (except the auto responder fee's & the time you spend sending and writing emails) and it could result in sales you wouldn't gain just by launching the product or service itself.

You can always contact your previous clients directly within the marketplace promoting your new service, but it'll involve lots of manual work if you have lots of clients.

**Note:
As previously stated, SEOClerks allows profile followers who you can send emails too by creating a new status on SEOClerks itself. You can promote your new services this way. You're allowed to send status updates by email when you reach user level 4.

Hey Andre, yes I get some emails from BarryInSiam and I was wondering how this was done via SeoClerks so thanks for making that clear to understand.

I am busy building lists. I currently have a few hundred on my online marketing website list, about 2000 on my mommy blog list and my addiction website list is a baby still with maybe 50 subscribers.

I don't really send offers as such to my lists, I just have my blog roll set up and yes sometimes I send the odd email... I haven't really made as much use of my lists as I probably could but I hate spam and I detest receiving too many emails so I don't like sending out too many emails to my subscribers!

For years successful marketers have been saying the money is in the list, and for years, people have been saying what? Well it's true. And it's as simple as that isn't it? Any website that sells anything, or even doesn't, that is in some niche that people are interested in, should be collecting email subscribers in some way or another. Whether it's just a simple form on your site, in the sidebar, or at the end of each of your posts. Considering it's so easy to do and collect peoples emails this way, and those people are already partly interested in what ever it is your site is about, you're already half way there to making a sale from these people when you send them your email newsletters and things. Of course, some people do abuse this and send wayy too many emails to people and that's why people unsubscribe. I can tell you now that's one of the main reasons that I unsubscribe from peoples email lists for getting too many emails. It just gets boring and tedious getting pitched to in every single email. Don't do that! Don't make every single email you send an email that tries to get people to buy something. It's bad practice and then people who do it wonder why people are unsubscribing? At least send some informational emails as well that people will actually find useful that tells them stuff about the industry or niche your site is in. That way they'll stay on the line longer and when you do send an email that sells something, they'll be much more inclined to actually go ahead and complete the offer or call to action to you use.

That's how I see it anyway!

I act as a buyer from time to time, I still need SEO services as well as social media services, sometimes I just need help delivering certain projects.
The cool thing is that I know the seller's mentality, I know when his/her is lying just to get me to order and I can pretty much figure out what exactly I'm really getting just by reading the seller's services description and comment reviews.

Never expect miracles by buying a five bucks services, that's what I'm always saying and with that line in mind I start my journey as a seller every time.

I have never been a buyer here. It occurred to me once when I was just drowning in orders, but I was reluctant to try it out because I felt like cheating on my buyers who sort of trust in me if they ordered from me you know. If I were to entrust someone else with the writing it was highly likely that the style was not like mine for instance. I might become a buyer sometime for other services, but not to outsource my writing work.

I guess building an affiliate list is the hardest part of affiliate marketing because you have to include the categories of the lists you are doing. Clients are not easy to come and that is another hard work for one who is on affiliate marketing. I had checked on this work because I have read many discussions that you can earn more in affiliate marketing especially if you are industrious. But I really have no spare time for now.
