As always the dilemma between choosing between an android phone or an iPhone is ever present for many smartphone buyers. There is no denying that an ios system has its pros, but the choice among Android devices is much more varied too in contrast. With Google’s latest introduction of the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL, there are many buyers who are considering opting for one of them rather than the much higher priced iPhone 7 Plus. What are your views with regard to these smartphones? Which would you choose? I think the Pixel phones are too highly priced considering that they are trying to beat iPhone 7.

Well, are you talking about buying outright or getting it on contract? I haven't checked the prices of the [b]Google Pixel / Pixel XL[/b] Vs [b]iPhone 7[/b] price but I did do some comparisons on them the other day and basically the take away is that if you're going to spend $600 on an Android then you might just be better off getting a [b]Samsung Galaxy S7[/b] or [b]HTC 10[/b] or even the [b]OnePlus 3[/b] for half the price. That said, there are some good contract deals around for the Pixel phone by Google. I was looking at the one on EE as my contract runs out soon (48 month Apple iPhone 6 contract) and I'm definitely not using another iPhone again. It's a good OS and secure and that and iPhone 7 is a good phone. But the Google Pixel phone has some better specs than it in some areas and you're much less restricted when using it (in terms of what you can actually do on the phone). Unlike Apple iOS who lock everything down and you have to do things their way or it's the high way! lol
But even the basic plan for the Google Pixel phone right now starts at £45 with u/l mins/texts but only 500mb data which is rubbish in today's world! Especially when watching and streaming 4K YouTube videos. Watch a few of them and half your data is gone already!
I'm definitely going to get an Android phone next. Just probably not the Google Pixel. Probably a Samsung Galaxy S7 or the HTC 10.
Still got a few months left yet so will see what's on offer nearer come that time. :)

The cost between the two smart phones, apple, and google seem to be quite competitive. I believe they both are selling for around $700. I think at one time both were $649 if I remember correctly. I may go with Apple phone over any other solely because I like how the UI is set up, and I'm more use to apple mobile products. Well initially I automatically thought of course go with the iPhone 7. However, it doesn't have one of my favorite features anymore, the headphone jack, and I believe you're required to use wireless headphones via the bluetooth feature on the phone and I'm not too entirely sure if apple provides those or if you have to purchase from elsewhere.
