Bringing a Samsung Note 7 on a plane is now strictly illegal!

Samsung smartphone always had some kind of small problems, there wasn't a perfect Samsung device ever built, every series had its share of problems but this year's Samsung Note 7 tops them all.

After first exploding phones, Samsung issued a recall to replace the defected batteries, apparently, the phones still managed to blow themselves off and Samsung ended Note & production altogether, probably for good.

The explosions are SO violent that Federal Aviation Administration of the United States decided to make a crime for taking a note 7 inside a plane. I'm pretty sure this is the first smartphone in history to reach such an achievement!

It's not looking good for Samsung smartphones as a whole, sure the Galaxy S7 is still a great phone and with the recent death of note 7, Samsung decided that some of Note's cool features should be updated and transferred to the S7, giving users a nice treat.

What do you think would be Samsung next step? Will a note 8 be release or is the Note line done forever?

This is really a bad unfortunate for Samsung because they are a giant tech company with good reputation worldwide. Personally I love all Samsung products, they are simply the best, I've never seen them as a company focused only to money more than than the functionality of product as many others are doing.

Their CEO apologized publicity all people who were affected by this, and this is a big plus for them. However, I think it will take some time to rebuild the same reputation again.

Samsung note 8 will be released on April 2017, and I'm pretty sure that this "disaster" has affected for good to improve their next note series.

Let's hope so, if they are rushing the next realise just to cover lost ground then more possible manufacturing problems will take place and that may be the end of Samsung for a while.

But is it only in the USA that the use of such samsung phone is now illegal in plane? or does it apply to all other countries as well or is it now a general crime worldwide to use such such on a plane, please i want to know so i can be cautious and also inform others close to me too to avoid arrest?

That is a really good question. I was wondering the same thing. What if someone gets on a plane with a Samsung Note 7 say in the UK and flies to the USA?

From what I've seen on the internet, samsung note 7 is banned by most airline companies worldwide. This started from USA then many other airlines companies did the same thing.

Now I don't think that samsung note 7 is exploding in a way that will damage the plane or will cause any catastrophe, but yeah they are doing this for security purposes, better safe than sorry.

YOu can use Samsung Note 7 as a frag grenade in Counter Strike. I'm sure that I've seen this mod somewhere.

They weren't able to fix their problem with the battery so that's why are considered a flight hazard and flight companies forbids them on board. I know that DHL also refuse to deliver the phones with their planes / trucks.

It's pity because the phone had great specifications and was worth the money. Samsung made an announcement that they stopped the production worldwide and they will reimburse their customers or present some alternative.

What no way LOL that is jokes! Yeah I heard Samsung lost out on $3 billion dollars of revenue or it will cost them that much to recall all the phones. IMHO they shouldn't have rushed to get it released just so they could compete with other phone manufacturers models out at the time. They should have done much more rigerous testing which clearly, was not done here. And so this is a good move by airports since these things are like ticking time bombs and don't just set fire. Oh no, they actually EXPLODE. That is simply not acceptable by a prestigious company such as Samsung. If they weren't so flipping greedy and chasing after profits and put safety first like they should have done from the start all along, this would not have happened and they wouldn't be $3 billion $ down.

Exactly, more proper tests, make sure everything is fine, use a couple of test phones for a few months, I don't know, do everything it takes, just don't sell phones that explode.

OMG that image is hectic, I am going to assume that is you being silly Cristian and not a real Samsung Note 7 exploding LOL.

I am glad that the Samsung Note 7 is not allowed on planes anymore. This is a good move if what I have been hearing about this phone is all true. You're not allowed to take a bomb on a plane so you shouldn't be allowed to take an exploding phone either.

It really is disappointing that Samsung has come to short with this phone. I am sure this whole saga has been so damaging to their company.

Nope, they actually explode! And yeah, $3,000,000,000 damaging. Let's hope this doesn't happen again to any other Samsung phone or any other mobile manufacturers phone in the future. It just goes to show what happens when greedy corporations put profits over safety!

I have a Samsung right now and I have to be honest here I am not feeling too confident in them any more. I think if those whole Samsung Note 7 saga had happened before I went to buy my phone I probably would have bought another brand. I am not sure I will buy from them again.

Fire in the HOLE! Galaxy Notes have been considered grenades for the past 2 months or so. I think the note is done, if they re invent it you will see a huge decline in sales. People are just afraid they they will get hurt or blown up using them now. As you mentioned they replaced the battery issue and then they still managed to explode. the icing on the cake is here, now you cant even travel with them on a plane. It will take a ton of paper work now for Galaxy to get the next note cleared for travel. I think the fact that they have moved features over to the regular galaxy 7 is prime proof that they are abandoning ship. This is a great topic needed to get covered thanks for sharing.

I was not aware of that. Considering the substantial number of cases that were reported I think that it was a good move actually. Personally I am not inclined to purchase a samsung device anytime soon or ever again to be honest. Apart from these explosions I do not think that Samsung offer good quality devices. Both my tablet and my previous samsung phone had battery problems in that the battery was depleted really quickly, and it took several hours to charge fully.

The policy of airlines to prohibit the bringing of Samsung Note 7 on airplanes is for the safety measure due to the reports that it has an exploding battery. I have read that Samsung had already acknowledged the problem and attributed the exploding battery to the battery manufacturer which is s third party. Nevertheless is it Samsung that is the main responsible because it is the brand of their phone that is at fault.
