How about instant cancelations for Sellers

As a seller, i find it somewhat annoying sometimes that buyers sometimes never respond when contacted about their order in progress. I find myself having to wait for a responce that sometimes never arrives. Therefore when time is then up on the order and I have to cancel it, it then runs late until it is cancelled automatically in 2 days. In the meantime, it looks like I have a bunch of late orders running. That is why I would like to get your thoughts on an instant cancellation feature!

I do not agree with you. This is all based online, and even though most of us are online most of the time, or receive notifications on their smartphone whenever an email is received, there are also several others who come from under serviced countries, or who do not check their emails regularly. I know that it can be annoying, but allowing some more time to buyers to reply could ultimately prove to be good for the seller. Some buyers are not aware of how the system works out either. So just remind them politely to give instructions or details and be a bit patient.

Well I don't think that cancelling an order when your buyer it's not online is fair, even though we all have the possibilities to check emails and stay connected online from anywhere it does not mean that we can't miss something. It's almost impossible to not miss something specially in the virtual world, also I would say that depends on time zone. Now I understand that is annoying because I'm a seller too, but giving them some more time to respond is the right thing to do. One of my buyer purchased a service of mine and he never started it , he didn't know how to start it because he was new on the site, so cancelling an order instead of helping them it's not the right thing.

I agree with you,however, I am talking about those buyers that submit the wrong information so the order cannot start or buyers that ignore you when you contacted them during the order. I have gone 3 days sometimes with no response from buyers when I have asked them to kindly respond. Then at the last minute, I have to cancel their order and wait for days for it to self-cancel while it shows up running late lol!

When a buyer is not responding in an order to you, do you send them a message via new conversation and link to the order in that message so they can click on it and leave the required details? Sometimes I have to do that to buyers myself so they'll respond and update the order. You have to consider that people are people aren't always online and are probably doing something but I also get where you're coming from in that it all has an effect on your rating if you have a bunch of late orders which isn't your fault but rather your buyers because they're not providing the required details. Anyway that's what I do and send them a polite but strong message and sometimes it works and does the trick most of the time. How about instant cancelations for Sellers

We have something called Reject an order which is available to all sellers. You can use this feature with no negative consequence within 24 hours from the order being submitted. Someone like you should not be worried about looking like you have late orders lol. Your prices are so low people will buy from you whether your late or not. if you have clients that are unresponsive i usually give them 12 hours to respond and then i reject. We already have a feature like the one you requested all you have to do is utilize it just make sure your within the guidelines. For me late orders can mean many things like someone gets a big bonus or someone has changed something in the middle of the order causing me to take more time. Being late is going to happen nobody is perfect. Thanks for sharing and dont forget to use the feature i mentioned. Have a Nice Day!

Thanks for that info yes that reject feature I always thought was a dirty word to use on someone lol! I wasn't aware that you could use it within the first 24 hrs if needed. However, I still feel it would be nice to have an instant cancel towards the end of the order, just in case something happens towards the end and buyer won't respond. But Thanks for sharing that option with me!

Oh yes! The reject feature is perfect for clients that ordered the wrong thing or just left proper order requirements. You can do that in 24 hours without any negative effects to your overall seller rating.

BUT if that 24 hour pass, then you will have to deal with the buyer and some of them are busy, some won't be able to respond in a timely fashion, you will just have to give them credit and wait for them to react, even if you ask for a mutual cancellation request and it takes 2 days until it canceled automatically.

I think it can very annoying when a job is incomplete and the buyer is running late or is no way to be found, I think there should also be a cancellation button for sellers, it would help them have more clients when whatever is not needed in their profile is weeded out.
