Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

Hey everyone,
I know that I haven't been around too much during the last couple of months but that's all going to change. - I've been struggling with some personal things and yeah, I still am, but most of it actually seems to have been settled down. - That being said, even though I'm not 100% back, I'll be around much more than I have been.

So, to start off my "comeback", I'll share some facts about Steemit.

Some of you might have read my "Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media parts", and for those of you who missed them. Here they are:

Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 1
Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 2
Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 3
Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 4
Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 5

So, let's get this going then, shall we?

Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

During my time on Steemit, I've managed to reach a reputation of 63. Which honestly, is a decent reputation. I've also gained 298 followers and here's another screenshot of some of my stats:

Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

So, all in all, my Steemit journey goes quite well and I'm very satisfied with it. However, it's not that easy as it might sound. Honestly speaking, most of my content doesn't bring me the rewards it should.. But that totally depends on how you see things.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Doesn't pay you for your content. And Steemit gives you that chance. You can make money. Newcomers are often struggling, and Steemit is still very new, so a bunch of changes are being made.. And will be made.

That being said, as I'm not native in english, I often spend several hours writing articles.. And because of that, I'm trying to establish myself even further on Steemit so I can start to feature other authors too. - When I do this, I'll keep the SP (steem power) but I will give all the SBD (Steem Dollars) to the original author for his work. - So if any of you are interested, let me know and we'll set something up. - It can be a win/win for both of us. - You can earn Steem dollars and I can earn more Steem power. - With all that being said, I've been withdrawing money since the beginning, and it truly works. - Some people believe it's a scam and I can truly say that it's not. However, it is like a lottery, and that should people be aware of if and when they decide to join.

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

Yes Andre! It's great to see you about mate and appreciate the update on your Steemit experiences! Looks like you're doing really good on Steemit by sounds of it. And it's great that you've stuck with it and it's now rewarding you for that persistence! A true beacon to anyone else and all those other "skeptics" that were skeptical from the start and slandered Steemit and brushed it off as a scam. Quite clearly it's not and it's a real thing. You can't blame them though. Most things that appear to be "too good to be true" usually are. Except Steemit. In which case, it's not too good to be true. It's true and it's good and you have proven that to all of those that have been skeptical from the start!

If you don't mind me asking. How much have you withdrawn now in total from Steemit?

Are you following a strict posting guide like every day or just as and when you have the time. And content!?

In your experience, what kind of content does best on Steemit?

It's not still pictures of buxom babes that earns more than even informative articles is it?

Or have you been experimenting with different things and found a winning formula? Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

Hey Mike,
Good questions, here some answers for you.

This is how much BTC I've managed to withdraw. The withdrawal process is easy, even though it's tricky for a noob. I was completely lost the first time I did it.

Are you following a strict posting guide like every day or just as and when you have the time. And content!?

- I started out with 1 or 2 posts per day. I added another one and started to post an average of 2 or 3 per day for two/three weeks. Nowadays, I'm lucky if I manage to post 1 per 24 hours, but that's the goal I have. I try to publish content at least once per day.
In your experience, what kind of content does best on Steemit?

For starters it was all about boobs and babes. - Luckily, that's not how things are today. Boobs and babes are always going to bring money, as sex sells, but the majority of Steemit users have finally understood that they can't keep handing a pair of breast $1000+ each day, so it's not that easy nowadays.

I personally believe that you can earn money on various content. I personally have had some success with freelancing related & personal stories. Tons of "Steemit related" content brings decent rewards too. - If you write an article about your steemit journey and describe how satisfied you are etc. That kind of content doesn't get rewarded as much as it used to though. - Fiction stories, personal success, personal stories and freelancing related content usually works well. Also bitcoin related things.

I have not found a winning formula and I don't get tons of rewards on everything I post.. But I've also been suffering from "writers block" kind of, which is the reason I had to decrease the amount of daily posts. - I would love to start posting 2-3 posts per day again, but at this point, I just can't come up with that much content... And it takes too much time for me to write it.

On a side note, Steemit has also implemented something called "resteem", which basically means that you'll "share" other people's work, so you don't have to feature them in your own posts.. (Which was one of my goals). That being said, if people aren't active on Steemit, but still have a steemit account, and still has content to post, I'd be willing to post it for them. And obviously send them the SBD (steem dollar) rewards for it.. And keep the SP (Steem Power) myself. - That could be one of the things that are "under the radar" so to speak, and it wouldn't hurt anyone in the end.

I hope that answers your questions. Let me know if you come up with other questions! Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

Andre I am so pleased to see you back, you were missed and I am so excited to get your update about Steemit.

You know what turns me off though? That it appears so complicated. I did register an account but everything just looked so confusing, plus then there is the cash our process that I am not so sure about. I like things to be easy... you know like push a button and it gets sent to Paypal. That is nice LOL.

Anything that is complicated and also anything that has BTC makes me edgy, I guess it is just the unfamiliar because I have not gone there before. I should really just take the plunge and do it!

Thank you Lynne, I appreciate it.
It sure is complicated at first sight, but if you spend some time, it's actually not that difficult at all. The cash-out process is the most complicated thing, especially if you have no knowledge about BTC and wallets. - With that kind of experience, I guess it's not that tricky. - When I first arrived at Steemit, I had never owned a BTC. I was never interested and I didn't know a single thing about crypto currencies. - Within just a few minutes on steemit, by reading some of the guides, I could make my first withdrawal with ease. Let me know if you need any help! Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

I had checked on Steemit and I was also turned off by the complicated method of withdrawal. But unlike you, I did not register yet because another turn off is the paid membership. There is a free membership but if there is a paid membership then we all know that the paid membership should be preferred otherwise you will just be wasting your time with the free membership.

OK Andre I did it, I posted my first story on Steemit but I got so confused. I didn't even get to add a pic of boobs because I couldn't figure out how to add it.

Anyway I just wrote about boobs... hey you said that is what works right? LOL

I will try and get another post up this week, I am just struggling with time! Thanks for the tip on getting images up. I will add images next time.

Lynne, you could actually just copy a post from your blog and publish that on Steemit. Just include something like "I'm the original author of this content" or "this content is from my personal blog" or whatever and it's all good.

That way, you might even be able to gain new visitors to your blog too. If you include a url to the blog within your steemit post.

I've seen tons of people doing this, and it's okay. Plagiarism etc is obviously not okay but if you are the owner of the content, then you're totally free to publish it wherever you want to. Even if that include 25 different places online. - That's actually one of the great things about Steemit.

It's obviously up to you, but it's a suggestion at least. Perhaps doing something like that would be a time-saver for you. Steemit - A Follow Up Evaluation

I am glad you are doing well on Steemit. I honestly wish I had some time to devote to it but at the moment I just cannot keep up with what I have, so it is something that I will have to consider checking out sometime in the future as after all it is another good way to make some extra money, and we have your word that they really do pay.
However since you seem to be doing that well I would like to wish you more luck, and thanks again for sharing this with us.

Thank you EliteWriter, I appreciate it. Yes, you can earn money, and if and when you do, you can withdraw the funds. In that sense, they are legit and all. However, there's endless advertising campaigns out there about steemit and most of them states this: "Blog & earn". And that's actually misleading in my opinion. You can definitely earn money, but it's not written in stone. It requires tons of time and luck to become established and to earn anything decent. Especially nowadays when things have changed. I don't know exactly how everything works but previously, when I started, I could get about $400 from one single vote. And nowadays, a vote from that same person is worth about $50-100 instead. It has something to do with the volume of Steem Power and such.. But even so, you could still earn a very nice extra income. And if you're lucky, you can score big on your first post too.
