Many moons ago before I became a freelancer, I used to take part in doing survey reward sites that would reward (pay) you for doing things like clicking links, reading emails, watching videos and playing games etc. And back then you had to use your computer to take part in them. However fast forward 10+ years and these days there are lots more ways to make money using just your mobile phone (Smartphone). That's because there is much more competition than back then and these days some companies and brands are being very creative in how they reach people instead of just spending money on traditional advertising campaigns.
Nowadays, brands and companies are coming up with unique ways to gain customers and get feedback and do market research for their sites, services and products. This is great news for people who want to put their smartphone to use to make a little extra cash with. That's because there are many more legit programs out there you can sign up to and start making money from with just your Smartphone!

I've mentioned SwagBucks here before several times now. It's one of my favorite sites to make some extra money with. I don't use it as much these days but I've used SwagBucks to earn hundreds of dollars worth of Amazon and PayPal gift cards which I've either spent on Amazon or added to my PayPal account and withdrawn the cash. You can use SwagBucks to earn SB points by doing things like searching in its Search Engine, completing offers or answering questions, using it's toolbar and inviting friends to it. It's not hard to rack up a lot of points at the end of the year if you use SwagBucks a lot to pay for those Christmas presents when you buy them online from places like Amazon, Target, Starbucks, PayPal, and Walmart.

CheckPoints (recently featured on Mashable) and it lets you earn money in lots of different ways like searching the web on your phone, scanning bar codes of things when you're out and about or even at home. Taking quizzes, watching videos and completing offers. You earn points for doing these things which you can then exchange and redeem for gift cards from Amazon, Target, Walmart etc or use them to enter free giveaways. You can install the CheckPoints app (iOS and Android) on your device, register and then you're good to go!
Hi Lynne. You're welcome! I know you're in S/ Africa. That's why I included the Field Agent app which is available to US, UK, Canada, Australia, S/ Africa, Mexico & Romania residents. As for cheating with Gym-Pact, I have no idea as I haven't actually used that app myself yet. So guinea-pig it for us. By that I mean test it out not eat a guinea pig. That would just be awful. So you'll have to test it out and give it a try. Let us know your findings. And whether it actually helped you to get fitter or not! :)

Well, of course you'll have to use your data allowance to use the apps when out and about. However not so much, most places provide free Wi-Fi today. Most big stores like Walmart, Macey's, Target, Hershey's & Starbucks etc all provide free Wi-Fi access today. So you can do things on your phone while you are shopping in those stores. So you can use their free Wi-Fi. However I wouldn't say that you'll use up more data allowance than you would make money using these apps. If you're serious about making money on your phone, you should stop playing games and using pointless apps that don't really do anything for you other than suck your time up and use up your data allowance. However the amount of data that these apps use isn't really much at all anyway. And they can all be used while at home in some way as well so you can just use your home Wi-Fi instead of using your 4G data up using them instead. :)

Hey that's it you gotta try them right? That's cool. Thanks for the feedback on Locket had not tried that one myself. But yeah if you put all of these to good use (or at least the ones you can) you can definitely earn with them in different ways. I am in South Africa so it is seriously annoying when I see all these cool things that I can never have!
Anyway you know while Smartphone app just caught my eye and is available in my country? Gym-Pact.com! YAY
And it is a sign, because I seriously need to start working out and getting fit after quitting smoking last year. I really need some motivation and making money is always a motivation!
